@violinistcindylou Can you please watch my recording of Bruch's Adagio movement and leave a comment under there? I want to know what you think about it! Thank you!
@zucchini2007 I saw that you posted your adagio as well. First of all, I can see much improvement between the two movements! You're intonation was better, but like Cindy said, you did have just a couple bad notes here and there. As a suggestion, when you vibrato, try to just move you're hand, because I could see that sometimes you moved the whole violin instead of just your hand. Maybe that's because of the high thumb in the left hand? not sure. I have the high thumb problem too :P
@theviolinmaster99 Thank you! Your 1st criticism of the 1st movement was absolutely BRUTAL, but it was a shocking wake-up call. Next time I record the 1st movement, I will read the sheet music more carefully. Now I'm working on the 3rd and final movement of Bruch. After that, I want to learn and record Paganini's caprice 24! It's my favorite caprice. But can you please tell me how to play those virtuosic left-hand pizzicatos? Those seem impossible!
@zucchini2007 Yeah...sorry about that haha. I'm just used to that with my teacher :P Definitely. I've played a piece more than 1000 times memorized, but I decided to look back in the music, and I saw something I've never seen before! It definitely helps. I'm playing the 3rd movement of Bruch currently as well. I'm applying to a competition with the Bruch. Paganini 24 is a wonderful caprice! I haven't played it, but I know how to do it. Youtube it, if not I'll make a video about it
I'm sorry but the orchestra was terrible at following you. The conductor was taking a different tempo than you at times. The Conductor is suppose to follow the solo when ever it's concerto!
@Yudhi1950 Thanks so much! My violin is Italian, Joannes Baptista Gabrielli-1760. It was love at first sight! It is the same Gabrielli in the Hamma book.
