adrian borland was light years of everyone in 79-80.. second layer world of rubber is still one of my all time favorite records... his lyrics always cut straight to the heart, no fluff, no bs.... he eventually threw himself under an oncoming train...

This guy marked a generation in Portugal, they enjoyed a success here and in Spain that I am yet to comprehend, anyway, the music is incredible ! from the Lion's Mouth is one of those albums you really have to own !

I knew Borland briefly in the beginning of the 90's. Vodka + orangejuice, cheap white wine + porn was his daily need. Part from that he was a brilliant performer, just him and a guitar. He could do Lou Reed better than Reed himself. He formed my 80's in a way.
