probably a basic reason for arachnophobia ..is you know hollywood and modern way of life ..get things as it is and never thing after and if you made your worst fears came out then a success is called..... anyway that s how horror films sell but generally spiders are among the most exaggerated and feared animals in the world. Snakes are dangerous but humans feel horrified by even the word arachne (greek one) if you suffer from phobia try to see jumping spider to see how cute they are and learn.

and of course theraposa blondie or goliath tarantula the biggest in the world (not dangerous stings bad but not that severe of a bee sting and hair can be a disturb for eyes and skin .. big deal if you know then fear is over...indeed a black comedy

this movie is not a thriller actually i would consider it black humor with spiders...and a few talks about the spiders used in the film... huntsmen spiders were used fro generally use a bit difficult cause of their running fast some hairy tarantulas harmless (brachypelma smithi totally harmless kept as pet knowdays) images of webbings from orb weavers ... There are indeed social spiders of course not as the film shows (exaggerating is the words) and of course no queens no workers no nothing...

Then try to see makro images from specialized photographers of jumping spidersand check the colours they have...finally just see them in real nature iam sure if you live close to open nature you will find for sure. They dont make webs have eyesight and catch flies by jumping and HARMLESS of course in fact the smartest spiders on earth

Back when I was 17YO I thought I’d do a cool funny prank on my cousin who has really bad arachnophobia. I got a black furry spider toy and placed it carefully on her pillow while she was asleep! But the whole thing backfired.

At around 6AM she woke the house with terrible screams, running outside & disturbing half the street until Police were called. She needed months of counselling, never spoke to me again, & the incident caused a dreadful rift in the family that has not healed to this day.

I used to be severely arachnophobic as a young child whenever I was around five or six, and now being eighteen I'd say I'm slightly arachnophobic. The intriguing aspect about this film is it may sometimes appear to be petrifying, but at the same coincidental time the audience still desires to view more. It's essentially like the fear you possess with anything allows you to actually be psychologically glamorized by the perceived threat.
