  • I love <3 C.C.R. ever & ever !!!!! <3<3<3<3

  • it's 1,000 tons of Epic piece of music !

and... for my Ears I always hear some resemblance in the intro of London calling by The clash (played little quicker) to Walk on the Water

  • RIP Tom Fogerty, the author of this song. It truly is a pity he never got more of his songs recorded with the group.

  • @Jorsalfar The autor was always his brother John Fogerty!!!!

  • @crazydiamante Not on your nelly! It was Tom's old song that John reworked, added the instrumental bit and the solo, thats it. The verse and the chorus were all Tom's.

  • @crazydiamante Correction to your correction. This was in fact written by Tom before CCR even existed. John then rearanged it for the band.

  • I wonder if the whole world once heard this song at the same time in the twinkling of an eye as limitless living faith proved that indeed one has walked on the water... great song.

  • would have never had thought these guys were from cali

  • speechless!! what a great song!

    4:06 total madness!!!!! yeah!

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for this music.

  • First time listening to this song, "Eh, this is alright". 2:39 hits, "OH MY GOD"

  • well to tell tyou the truthy I was BORN IN THE SIXTY'S 'LOVE YOU GUY'S'

  • @careymonacelli That must've been fun. Besides there was segregation but it was a great time of music. I wasn't born in the 60s by the way.

  • I love this song. I can remember listening to it with my buddies when we were all 14 years old. Ah, the good ol' days.

  • Mysterious, yet simple: I saw something that terrorized me into a cocoon of perpetual fear. A supernatural "man," coming for the narrator--but for what purpose? Perhaps the teller knows more than he's telling . . . Fogerty's songs often crept into the gnarly shadows.

  • megalo tragoudi.....

  • i like to play with my meat while i listen to CCR

  • o ya

  • intro is so bad ass

  • Perhaps he is afraid of loosing his worldly self. Which is foolish because the flesh is the only part of a person that still causes oneself trouble from time to time. It still can be tempted. The Spirit can't and the Soul can't unless one allows the soul to be tempted. The soul of course is the mind. but since once one is Saved one Has the holy Spirit living inside oneself. Who will show us how to live and grow in Christ. To defeat temptation and adversity by and only through grace.

  • @GothChristianPatriot hey man some people want to be tempted, ever think bout that, you religious freaks should not talk your bullshit as comment to great music you dig?

  • @GothChristianPatriot doing bad stuff is tight

  • This song obviously has deep meaning for Tom Fogerty. I suppose that the person he sees is probably Jesus. There's a lot of ways you could look at it. First, there's thing with asking Peter to walk on the water and he doesn't want to; why, because he's afraid. He's afraid of death. That's the other way you could look at it. Perhaps the person represents death, or the unknown; or his future self. Either way, the scene it describes is intensly creepy, whatever it means

  • Instrumentally I love this song. Lyrically i do not understand it. Lyrically it scares me. Why would someone run from Jesus?

  • @GothChristianPatriot

How on earth could anyone question the power of the lord? A special someone needs to get hanged at noon. Do you also question the lord? Then speak no further, you foul-mouth. Stone him!

  • I am not questioning the power of the Lord. Why would the person in this song. Who "saw a man walking on the water" Run back home in fear instead of walking towards Jesus Christ in Faith? i am not questioning the power of God. i am questioning what the writer meant? Is this song blasphemous or not? @MorrowindGamer

  • Man, I always loved those rolled-and-pleated Kustom amps. Guy in my 1st band had one...

  • I fuggin love it.. CCR will never die!!!!!

Mira, aprende español si quieres entenderme y si no pues ya sabes, ajo y agua.

  • i googled information on Tom Fogerty.he wrote this song.and he died from Aids from having a blood transfusion.plus he had T.B.

  • I Put A Spell On Y'all. Cause Y'all Mine...

Seriously, talk english if u got something 2 say... Or make your own youtube.mexico.spanish.portugese

  • hey folks, it is about music alright? i like this song, others don´t. i agree that it would be very useful if everyone had at least some basic english, would make communication a bit more easy. alas, i commented the same way. sorry.

  • 1:40 - 1:43 fast drums

  • Impossible to listen junst once

  • MYSTIC EPIC STUFF...U GOTTA LOVE IT...!

  • Great song =]

  • Every good band has "filler" material, songs to fill out a record (remember records?) or these days CD's although those might not be around much longer either. The Beatles were the only band where just about nearly everything recorded was first rate and the Byrds filler was highly listenable and really good. The worst filler songs I have ever heard was by the Cowsills some of which is here on YouTube. Listen to it if you can stand really bad music.

  • @MrBEB123 although youre absolutely right, its terrible. i think no band should ever make filler material. in fact alothough not practical enough to actually work, i think nobody should ever get payed to make music. then allll music would be darn good i bet. cause only the people who really have stuff they want to make for a reason would exist. but yeah youre right.

  • thumbs up if you've heard richard hell's version

  • 11 people are not jesus

  • This is such an underrated song. A true masterpiece of classic music!

  • love it

  • Tom Fogerty co-wrote this one with John. I actually like the version they did as the Golliwogs (before becoming Creedence) better than this one.

  • What exactly is this song about?

  • Creedence and Fogerty not the biggest band ever, but simply the fucking greatest ever! John inspired generations, the greatest Rock nRoll writer of his time, beyond a ( Tomb) shadow of doubt!

  • @Maiten52 WTF IS that!!!

  • @BURDETTErunsthis LMFAO!

  • @BURDETTErunsthis LMFAO!

  • @Maiten52 the national language of internet is english..

  • @jasper2252 que te jodan!!!

i teu dic en el meu idioma

  • @jasper2252 Wow you're an ignorant asshole, especially since German is an older language than English.

  • @YoGuy37 what has ...AGE?! to do with that english is the most used language in the world (don't give me bullshit about spanish and chinesh.. they're just too many off them, but in almost ALL advanced countries the majority of youth speaks enlish too... fucktard). Old Latin and Old Greece is EVEN older.. u want us all to speak/write that fucked up dead language again.. i used to study that.. it's pointless.............. jij flamende vieze uit de kut van een paard getrokken blauwe dwergenneuker.

  • jasper2252 nah man wut it is people have to appreciate their heritage wut happened is the US is the promise land it has alot of tourism but that is about it if you wanna dispute the language barrier tell me y people stiil regard the aztec calenar people addapt to their surrouniudns its kalled survival but most of all americans come from diffrent countries to begiin with white peopple are from europe mexicans and indians were in the us way befor europeans

  • @pocheluiz Its not about what people call heritage and ancestors, but about creating a global united world. It's cool that people are interested and somewhat proud at their culture and the stories behind it. But we can't make that play a headroll in our lifes, because we're still all basicly the same; humans. Otherwise discrimantion never goes away. And people who are treated as lesser beings in comparison to everyone els become ''insecure'', hatefilled. In some cases it even forms a terrorist.

  • Creedence not the biggest band ever, just simply the Fucking best!

  • "London calling, to the underworld!"

  • 3:53 Have that exact shirt. Interesting how shirts come back in style.

  • CCR immortel !!!

  • John is saying that he see a man (Jesus) call him because he will die? What's the significate of the song

  • I saw a man walking on the water .

  • he lookes like a retard but sounds like the cosmos

  • Richard Hell - who invented the Punk haircut, look, etc.. - did a great cover of this, on his first album, the classic Blank Generation (1977).

    Thanks for posting this

  • Great lyrics, great music, great song!!

  • @angrypothead

Ever heard of a band called The Beatles?

  • @CyclingStartlists THE FUCKING BEATLES SUCKSS!!

  • great lyrics!! and powerful singing!!

  • This is the remastered version of The Golliwogs' "Walking on the Water".

Came in CCR's first album Creedence Clearwater Revival.

  • which album is this from?

  • @getback9691 , It's from their debut album...the self titled "Creedence Clearwater Revival".

  • Everyone was on psychedelics, but there´re a few to ply Rock´n Rolll

  • this was the best ccr album imo...i really feel johns song writing was tainted by anger, despite the fact he tried to write the happy go lucky music that was who he wanted to be...hope you record execs choke on your fancy foods you fat slobs! thats johns money

  • FALLA EL SONIDO !!!

  • one of the best ccr songs

  • What a masterpiece that first album was! But then, all their albums were!

  • 0:26 first bit of turntablism/scratching used in a record.

  • the solo sorta sounds liek susie q doesnt it ??

  • I never forget the songs of CCR...never..never ever.

  • I always liked that song and the lyrics are great too.

  • WOW!! A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF CCR SONG ..THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!!!!!!

  • Triffic ............I shall listen to it another three times tonight

  • Yep, CCR: the kids from El Cerrito California, here they are*******!!!!!!!!!My folks.

  • this is some jamband trance

  • Nah, too hippyfied for me.

  • Great closing track for their debut album, but I wish Fogerty's vocals lasted a little bit longer than one minute and a half!! I mean, the man has one of the most powerful and heartfelt voices in rock 'n' roll history!

  • i think your confused...cuz i hear the start of this song ALL the way thru london calling lol i wonder who did it first...hmmm lets think..

  • definitly the best ccr song and noone has ever heard it either lol. dosnt make sense to me

  • yo no estaba en Los huevos de mi viejo de Cuando tocaban this musica! ... Ahora la amo!

  • so many good songs , its hard to decide - but I think this is No 1.

  • CCR and Zeppelin are the only 2 bands I ever cared about

  • My favourite CCR Song!!!!

  • Not bad, but not great. That 3/4 Ric with light strings just never quite sounded in tune. This is a lyric that doesn't really go anywhere, with a jam that doesn't either. Theu were a great band, which is the only reason this song sounds like anything.

  • check out richard hell and the voidoids version of this

  • like most ccr songs this is a good one....lets not bitch and argue folks...and if we do how about we do it to each others face.

  • absolutely agree! good comment on this faboluos song:-)

  • I didn't know CCR went in for shippy hit, ah well, they more than made up for it with their good stuff.Must have been a big payday for them to do it ,though.

  • Late last night, I went for a walk, Down by the river near my home. Couldn't believe, with my own eyes, And I swear I'll never leave my home again. I saw a man walking on the water. Coming right at me from the other side. Calling out my name; "Do not be afraid." Feet begin to run, pounding in my brain; I don't want to go; I don't want to go. No, no, no, no, no... I don't want to go. Mmmmmmm...
  • @Ouroboros010110 And sadly, Tom was the 'first to go'.

  • is this sentence enough for you or do you want more ???

  • Oedipuscomplex

  • fucking racist

  • Old childisch fool just grow the fuck up!And dont you cry because my fellow people learn your language does not mean your god...Arogant thats what you are...You dit not learn nothing out of this music...Such music is made for you and me...Music should release you from that shit you are talking about!

  • i mean bunkofurko

  • You need a woman man.....Thats your problem....

  • Man your a loser....

  • youhouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ! you're a master man !!! "Womb ass" "Cig Roach" .......so cute and funny ! you're the one !

  • @bunkofurko ouais c ça ok ! t'es super toi

  • this song reminds me of my family. Dont know why.

  • The only song on any CCR album written by Scorpio Tom Fogerty

  • @bunkofurko well your comment dosent sound so origin-anal yourselffish i got funk and soul but still that western country style rockabillie sweet guitar play be more respect full af an artists art

  • don't quite agree. the bass and drums is typical CCR

  • Just heard this song earlier for the first time. I was outside having a smoke around 2 AM and this song came on my ipod and freaked me out to no end! I only just got the album a day ago. I can already tell that this is going to be a favourite song of mine for the rest of my life. So dark and creepy.

  • When I hear this, I think of me seeing myself albeit way older coming at me on the water. But with death over my older selfs shoulder. I guess calling me to my future and ultimately my death. But that's life I guess.

  • Fogerty's voice and of course the deep sentimental story of this song can lead anyone to imagine seeing someone walk on the water and really getting freaked out.

  • increible una cancion simple y alucinante
