The pilot didn't connected his oxygen mask "pipe" (the little thing on the right) with the helmet "airbag pipe". In the back of the helmet there is an "airbag" that is pushing the pilots head against the mask. So the mask is not going down in hi-G turns.

We currently have 24 mig-29s, from them 16 or so are in operational status, from them 7 are modernized or going through modernization. We have a huge number of MiG-23s which are out of service and some MiG-21s which we use only for standard patrols in the Eastern and Northern parts of Bulgaria. By 2015 it is expected to have all 24 mig-29s operational. And we consider upgrading them to version OVT, but it is only a speculation for now.

A contract with Russia about the MiG-29s, but I don't know the current status of the contract. All parts and everything are being bought from Russia and Israel (which to my surprise have some knowledge of MiGs don't ask how, I don't know). We have one repairs plant left, and 2 other are due to be opened but don't know when.
