hey I've read all the comments above, I've tried everything that is suggested, it still says flash_image: not found i am running miui on htc desire bravo, any ideas? i know that i don't have s-off if that makes a difference, if i need s-off how do i do it, please note i am using mac so there was only one piece of software i could use to root my phone

For all having the same troubles. I had to find another method of flashing. this didn't work no matter what i did. I went to xda and used the rom manager method of flashing. Search Amon_RA and look for recovery, there is an install section in his first post. hope this helps.

It won't work I think because I don't have the flash_image.zip file installed even though I rooted through unrevoked, I have the file can I flash this through my current recovery to properly work it?

Hey dj,

Thanks for the quick reply. My primary concern was messing something up with my new phone. I thought that the radio portion of the phone would not be as good as it can be. I am not sure what all the firmware, rom, kernel etc mean. A video explaining the basics would be great!

Thanks for the great info. Keep up the good work. I successfully rooted my phone. Wifi tether working and plenty of new icons.

But I now have concerns about losing my 4G access. What is the best method to completely reverse the process and operate with a non rooted OTA updated phone?

What do I need to do?

@kellydaynet What are your concerns with losing 4G access? You shouldn't have any :) Your 4G is safe. And if anything happens, its easy to fix. And I have the latest OTA and am rooted if that makes you a little less worried. I can make a video guiding through this update if you'd like.
