I thought that only Jeff can plays this song

    100/100

  • wow really good sounds just like beck

  • DUDE! It sounds great! I love Jeff Beck. Wonderful presentation.

  • Nice but remember, Jeff sounded like he was straight into the board, hence the fuzztone.

  • Why does everybody here says he's 12 years old? Read the damn info on the channel.

  • fuckin great. keep rockin dude!

  • hes not 12, hes at least 30. go to his myspace and he says hes been playing for 25 years and hes married

  • that sound really good.

  • Great tone. Love the Tele. Keep up the good work.

  • And you are 12?? holy fuck! what are you going to be like at 24????? awesome job!

  • great job man. did you tab this out yourself? or could you perhaps provide the tabs ;)

  • スペース・ブギー - Space Boogie もお願いしやす。^^

  • AWW, I thought it was going to be Radiohead not Jeff Beck, still pretty cool though, not as good though

  • >.>

  • well what i said a month ago i take back because i do like some jazzy sounding stuff like allan holdsworth tho im not really into the whole thing. I prefer Yngwie Malmsteen and Flamenco players...that sorta of thing.

  • That was stupendous young man. I was in the front row when Jeff took Blow by Blow on the road for the first time. You nailed jeff's style & tone perfectly. Keep on rockin in the free world!

  • very cool!

  • Awesome man! You can play!

  • damn what kind of pick ups are you using?

  • It's great ! Great tone, and tele and marshall ! Blow by Blow is such a great album, too !!

  • I love Beck's Wired and Blow by Blow stuff. You nail this. I will be using your vid to learn it. Thanks.

  • you only have nice guitars

  • HMScale is a huge tool. That is defiantly musical.

  • hey fuck you man...

  • Its sounds pretty awsome tho some parts just dont sound musical to me...thats the jazzy sounding stuff lol

  • Man, you totally rocked on this! I'm tryin to learn it but think I'll be 112yrs old by the time I've got it down!

  • wow where did you find the tab for this? or did you pick it out by ear..

  • you're 12! cool! i'm 13 and i've been into this stuff since i was about 9! (when i started guitar). how long've u been into this stuff?

  • Hey, what kind of fuzz pedal are you using. The tone was 100% perfect. Awesome job.

  • Wow, not many young guys really know Jeff Beck let alone play a cover. I'm an old fart late to the YouTube music scene. This stuff just impresses the hell out of me and I fear the future a little less knowing this music still lives out there.

    Keep it coming...

  • i hear ya..im 12 and i love classic rock and that sort of stuff. ive seen the eagles 3 times and joe walsh twice by himself. ive also seen mr clapton as well. angus young and brian johnson were right .. rock n roll aint gonna die... such a beautiful music that expresses feeling.. i play guitar and when i play rock or blues it makes me wonder why people appreciate rap and pop..i love my music and most of all the feeling of it...

  • Wow, impressive taste for a 12-year-old! No offence, but most kids that age dont know jack about Joe Walsh or Jeff Beck. :-)

  • excellent stuff man! 5* great stack as well!

  • Great job! You nailed it.:)

Shouldn't be so shy about putting your stuff out there.

Look at my atrocious clips for inspiration lol

  • You absolutely rock. Having seen Jeff Beck perform this song live in 1976, you should be doing a tribute band. I would pay primo dollars to re-live my mis-spent youth.

  • Very nice work. Beautifull guitar and stack btw.

  • i love this song so much, you did it justice, great sound, do you have a tab?

  • man ur damn good omg, how is that possible, u should be famous or something, at least, u deserve it

  • that kicks ass dude.......nice job

  • Beautiful guitar and nice playing!

  • good job!blow by blow is a cool album!jeff is a genius. Moreover, george martin produced this record with a great orchestra arrangement on this track!great, and congratulations!you get this real sound!

  • Im gonna try to see his private vids then. if you wanna check a guitar song of mine just write ¨nacho larsen¨ at search. The song´s name is ¨she was born with the light¨. Please let me Know what you think...

  • i forgot to tell you that i have a vid of a guitar song of mine, if you wanna check it just write ¨nacho larsen¨ at search. The song´s name is ¨she was born with the light¨. Please let me Know what you think...

  • well done man! great sound and fingers skills. Now im gonna check others videos you have so, i hope you have some music of your own, but if you dont, !please start composing!

  • he has some in his private vids hehe :^)

  • Sounds awesome! I've been trying to figure this song out myself....tell me if I'm right....F-F#-F-F#-G#-F#-G#-A#-G#-A#-B-A#-B-C#-B-A#-G#-F# X 4, same pattern up a half step X 2, same pattern up a whole step X 2, and then starting on B use the notes B,C#,D,E,F#,G in the relatively same pattern ???? this sounds right to me but i'm not sure

  • awesome guitar playing dude i love your work it is really inspiring for me 8) oh and nice jacket haha

  • Tasty playin Dude!!

  • I'm glad that you felt so!

  • holy sh#t. nice

  • Thanks man!

  • Very, very nice playing. Got to see JB a few years ago live and he was amazing. Nice rig too!

  • Hi vanderbilly, thanks for your watching.

Recently I've seen Jeff's stage (UDO festival in Japan), yeah I think he's amazing and AWESOME.

I'm sure he's cheating in counting his age... He's so young! lol

  • have you see how fast Jeff plays in live? I think its too fast personally, but still blows me away that he CAN play it that fast. You did a great job too....great to learn from the master hey!

  • Yep, I've seen that fast version, and I also felt that's too fast personally.

By the way, he played it so fast but it's NOT the same riff as his original recordings. Honestly, it made me regrettable feelings a bit. :-(

  • I agree - he seems to be cheating these days on the Scatterbrain riff - doubling up on some of the notes, rather than doing the whole run. From what I have heard the keys player is playing it correctly though, which is an insane effort at that speed!

  • wow that was cool...loved the pick throw too

  • Ha-ha...'Cause only in the beginning that was required to play with the guitar pick. :D

  • Lovin it. Really got that Jeff Beck dissonance down. Turn down the gain a bit though.

  • I think this gain level is proper 'cause My Telecaster guitar is a single coil specification, and his guitar was a humbucker specification though the guitar that he used at his recording this song is same Telecaster guitar.

  • Beck being my favorite guitar player, and that being one of my fave tunes from him, I really enjoyed listening to your performance. Great job. You really get where his playing comes from.

  • Honestly I didn't like his 70's guitar sounds, but now I don't think so. :-)

After a while I got to know he's a really great guitarist. lol

  • Wow, that was really well done!

  • Thanks man!

  • Hey man you did a really great job, especially with tone.

I do have one a criticism though:

With the main line that's in 9/8, you stay in time perfectly, but i recommend playing on top of the beat and not entirely in it. Because the song has a feeling of being rushed, as well as the odd meter, the feel is a bit faster than the actual tempo. You also lost some the accents on the start of each triplet. These are minor interpretation issues.

Practice this a bit faster than normal.

  • It cannot be understood that I'm not correct to that if you will not actually play it accurately at all on your channel.

I think it's so insignificant things that you're telling me. I'm not a MIDI machine though.

  • fantastic work dude...congratulations

  • Thank you for your watchin'.

  • I saw Jeff Beck live from the first row back in the early eighties and that's exactly how it sounded. Awesome.

  • Wow! you...really? I envy you!!! X-D~~~

I think that's rare that you saw Jeff's stage in the early 80's.

  • Bergen Community College, Paramus, N.J. Apparently, he had a relative on the faculty. It was a stunning show. The drummer, a tall black fellow, was unbelievable, like thunder.

  • Great playing dude!! 1975, Dallas Convention Center with Mahavishnu Orchestra being opening act. John Maclaughlin joined Beck and encored with this song. Jeff was keeping up for awhile, but Mac's speed was blazing. Beck finally smiled and bowed to the great one. Few years later, with Jan Hammer doing "Wired". I was so close, I was getting hit with Hammer's sweat!!

  • this is tight

    make less distored tho

  • Thanks man.

  • Dude, that is one sweet cover. Great tone, great control and love the finger picking...Love your work!!!

  • Thank you for your watchin' and complimenting!! I'm very glad.

I like to play this song without guitar pick but it won't be easy to play...XD

  • nice playing. I love jeff beck.

  • Thanks man, yeah he's a great guitarist as we know and I love him.

  • nice! no pick! just like the man himself! and you really nailed the tone jeff makes pretty nicely, although nobody will ever make a guitar sing like he did. but that was awesome.

  • Thank you for your watchin' and complimentin'.

I thought that is better for approach to his tone to play without guitar pick though I think that Jeff was using guitar pick to play this song at this time.

  • Well done!! And look ma, no pick!

  • Thanks man. Yeah, I'm playin' this guitar without guitar pick excludin' the introduction riff part as you're seeing.

  • Awesome control.

  • Thanks guys you watchin'.

  • Spot on! Awesome!

  • Thanks man!!!

  • Awesome! Really great sound, technique! Are you into Allman Brothers?

  • I'm into The Allman Brothers Band though I am not specially detailed.

Also I'm into Rory Gallagher, you know they're great slide guitar player.

I always think that I wanna play the slide guitar like them...

  • Heh!This is "itdudntwork's" father. I had already viewed your vid. Great job.I like the way you finger picked it and infused your own feel with fuzztone very similiar to Beck's(nice tele by the way). Believe it or not, I'm capable of playing the thing so close I'd be accused of video fraud, if I matched tones. I made sure that you could easily tell I was playing it. Anyway, the whole point was to show what my son is capable of. Thanks for the response, and lets see more of your playing.

  • Thank you for your watchin' and your comment.

I thought that your son's drumming was also great, besides he still looks so young.

This drumming considerably requires the technique as shown in well-known.

It's so great to be able to perform the jam session by family so I envy you.

I never had what performs this song as the band 'cause no one couldn't take charge of drums of this song....So won't be easy for the beginners to play.

  • WOW you got that down! Tone and everything, which is even more impressive since you're using a Tele. And it's very awesome that you're playing with your thumb, true Jeff Beck style. Keep up the good work! :)

  • I agree totally, I've listened to scatterbrain hundreds of times and this is as good as Beck would play it himself. Also, you got that tele to really sing, great tone! Post more clips of yourself, you're good!

  • I'm honored to get a very welcome opinion from you that know Jeff Beck pretty well.

I'll post my video as soon as possible and it might look like Jeff's play style.

  • Thank you for your watchin' this video.

I'm really so glad in above all of your evaluation about my finger picking style.

    Also about my Telecaster guitar.

However, I don't really consider him to tell the truth.

Of course, I like him so I got play this since I'm a child.

When I had started the guitar, such a habit had been acquired by chance 'cause it was classics and country music.

I think that I'll post such a video sooner or later.

  • way to go man. this was just plain inspiring. did you use tabs to learn this song? if so, where did you find them?

  • Thank you for your watchin' this video.

I just only listened from an original record to play the guitar, and I'd never used music sheet.

Therefore, my ad-lib is included in some measure there.

As you see, I'm not using the guitar pick excluding the intro.

Perhaps, I think the guitar to be used in an original record.

Also see my comments (notes) on this channel page.

  • love the crap out of this and your guitar !!!move over CB

  • Thanks for your watchin' and love that.

BTW, what's does it mean "CB"?? ...sorry, I dunno.

  • I would rate 10 if I could ><

  • Thank you for your watching.

Let me show your play the guitar...so I wanna see that.

  • That's Great!!you are an awesome guitar player!

  • Thank you for your watching.

This song is my favourite at Jeff's guitar play.
