Dude this is probably a better video for showing off the bike then Giant has done. Different, but very illustrative. I think you just helped me pull the trigger. Cheers.
I know in general people think Trek is a little overpriced for what you get. I also know that Giant makes solid bikes. Since I'm limited on finds and also limited to Trek. I was just hoping to get a point of view rom somone with more experience with road bike then me. I'm hoping that the Trek Madone 4.5 is a good choice because I'm pushing my budget with even that one. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@bankmind80 sorry i haven't signed onto this account in a while.
if you haven't bought a bike already, the Madone 4.5 is for more.. professional use. I ended up keeping this bike and it's proven to be quite a thrill riding it. Compared to the Madone, there's not much different besides a slight stiffness. The Madone seemed more stiff as compared to the TCR advanced.
regarding body-metrics, the Madone is slightly more aerodynamic, but the reinforced head on the TCR is worth the size.
@bankmind80 price has nothing to do with internal routing, internal routing takes away stifness and plus if you are not going to ride a paris-roubaix or a time trial there is nothing wrong in having external cable routing... investigate a bit and you'll notice the best bikes do not have internal routing
Thanks for the response man, I'm new to the whole road biking thing and I was just curious is all. Really wish I could afford the one you have. Looks really nice. What do you think about the Trek Madone 4.5 for a first road bike? I have to get a Trek because they have a finance plan and I was approved for the Trek card.
@marcoss92 yes, internal routing is mainly for TT bikes where even the slightest millisecond counts for something.
TT bikes spare comfort and control for it's aerodynamics -- slicing through wind..and external routing would mean things sticking out, but that's about it. It's like comparing a sports car with a luxury car :]
@StupidlyRandom I was selling it because I needed to pay for school! But the person that wanted to buy it turned out to be a scammer. He sent me a fake check for 10,500 dollars. haha. I kept the bike and I love every moment with it.
love how you have a 3,500 doller bike and then a shit 5 doller drink bottle holder ahahaha does the job tho :)

I wonder why they don't do internal cables, for the price point... you would think they would.
