  • dottie west. rip. its so cool that these videos are around, and the internet has come so far that videos can be shared and her memory can be lived on. now if only she could be in the country music hall of fame. she was an amazing artist, singer, and songwritter. to her and patsy cline!

  • Are there any more clips from this show? I bet there are some wonderful perfomances from it.

  • Man I miss her!! I LOVE THIS SONG, she's amazing.

  • This lady is the great singer's of our time She would put this young crop of pop singer's back where they belong .She could sing it all and then some And she was a star be for she passed away.In a car she should not have had to be in...One of the many Opry people could have went and gave her a ride to the Opry ..And they say they love one another ...HaHa

  • I don`t like the eyelashes, but else I love it all. Dottie was great, she did not sing one bad song

  • LOLOLO!!! I LOVEE that comment!!---"Dolly Eat your Heart Out." I Love Dottie~~

  • I agree with you 100% Dottie West was a beautiful woman and a great singer. she should be in the Hall of Fame. I saw her in person one time at the Tulare Co California Fairgrounds. she put on a magnificent show.

  • I saw Dottie in person when I was just a boy and I have my autographed album to prove it. She was so nice to meet in person and so incredibly beautiful. I will never forget that night or forget the joy she gave me.

  • Maybe the Country Music Hall of Fame should be replaced with another orgainization.

  • Wholly eyelashes, If BFF, Patsy went overboard on her eyebrows(to hide scars) then Dottie went overboard with them lashes. Dottie had no scars, she would have been better with a shorter length. (These look like spiders)

  • Such a beautiful woman, who left us too soon

  • The best ever

  • yes, they should be ashamed. this woman was the best as far as i'm concerned. how she is not in the hall of fame is beyond me and alot of others. damn shame. her time will come. some of her "friends" should be ashamed too for the way they treated her when she was going thru rough times. there in the good... she made their careers, where where they, where were her "irs" tape fundraisers.

  • I was watching RFD country reunion to hear them talk about how they love one anoughther I can't help but wonder why some one have helped her when she was down on luck.. At least sent acab to bring her to the opry but no one did so sad to hear that she got old man eighty years old to drive her to the show ...think back no one gave d... She still has got all this bunch beat far as country music

  • @MyJustified Kenny Rogers bought her a brand new Chrysler New Yorker,as a matter of fact it was the car she ran out of gas in at the time of her accident .

  • Gosh she was beautiful!

  • Dottie West was one of the most beautiful country queens. may her memory live on for generations. She is what country music was all about.. Dottie had so much respect for country music.. She sang from her heart. you can hear it in every lyric. She is my hero.....

  • LOVE her... I would also like to know what uear this was? And screw the Country Music Hall of Fame, seemed pretty jacked up!

  • She Isn't in the Hall of Fame, cause she spread those long shapely legs too much, bon1042!!!

  • @laconiaboy101 You have aright to your opinion everyone has one, there just like an ass hole everyone has one of them also.

  • What year was this performance done in?

  • Way too young of a great talent lost. Top of her game and gone. Love her.

  • Beautiful.

  • Dottie was the absolute best - she was a wonderful, wonderful person as well as a great entertainer.

  • 'Tis indeed a crying shame Dotty West is not in the C.M. Hall of Fame... I mean he place in the pantheon of great singers from the 60's and 70's should make it a no-brainer.

  • The Country Music Hall of Fame should be ashamed of themselves! Actually, I am beginning to think, Dottie is TOO GOOD to be in the Hall of Fame...and that is why she is not in it yet. Dottie passed away 18 years ago...and she has not been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame...shame...shame...shame... :)

  • @MrKingsRow So just beacuse she died don't give them a right to put her in the Country Music Hall of Fame, because to tell the truth she can't sing all that good.

  • @MrRickycurry...Dottie West was a wonderful human being and talent...and she was the first female country vocalist to win a Grammy Award in 1965 for a song this song(which she also wrote)...and she opened doors for many, many female artists to come...Dottie West should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame...PERIOD. :)

  • @MrRickycurry Dottie West was not only a GREAT singer, but a very talented songwriter as well. Her first song was recorded by none other than Jim Reeves. Those two attributes alone are worthy of a Hall place..let alone the fact that Dottie also nurished the careers of folks like Steve Wariner and Larry Gatlin. Apparently, you are in the minority as far as her talents go. There are countless fans out there---including myself--- who think the Hall should be ashamed of themselves!

  • @MrRickycurry Are you for real, turn your ears ON, by the way , i put a thumbs down for ya

  • I love you Dottie. love this song! :) RIP

  • Dolly eat your heart out.

  • I loved her music, and I was saddened by her death.

  • Dottie was the one,the rest are just copies

  • Totally awesome.

  • What a Country Star really is!!! All those out there today, need to take your notes, and learn, this is what it is all about!

  • What a Breathtaking beauty, boy did she make a transformation, from say early 1970's to late 1978. I have always loved her Sexy voice. and boy did she complete the package. I don't think that even today, you could put any Female Country singer up against her, I think they would just fade into her shadows!

  • ... and I'm a woman... but I have to say... LOOK at those long shapely legs. I'm 66 and wasn't a total country fan, more out of the "mainstream" but at same time loving Patsy Cline, the velvety sound of Eddy Arnold (have Elvis's Country album with several of Arnold's hits). I saw the made for TV movie on Dottie with Michelle Lee and my heart ached watching Dottie's life unfold. Now I have to say Patsy and Dottie wld be my favorites, and agree on today's artists, in ALL categories.

  • if you want to hear this with really good sound, look at flashbell's and old countrytunes videos here.

  • Wow. Before Shania Twain was putting the goods out there, Dottie West showed Country Music what sexy was! HAWT!

  • correct you are with your comment

  • RIP IN PEACE DOTTIE U R SIMPLY THE BEST

  • I'm not sure just what to say but I do know one thing this was FANTASTIC to see this video clip. Thanks Alot 5*****

  • Thank you for putting this wonderful clip of Dottie West on here. She was truly one of the greatest female singers there was. I miss her everyday. I bet she is up there right now walking on that lovely Country Sunshine that she bought to us during her lifetime.
