  • this is a marvellous fan-video!!!

  • I've been a fan since1984.

  • I don't care how you feel!

  • Banging, absolutely banging.

  • It makes you want to hang out in dark, shady red light districts, being all sexy-n-shit.

  • this is the fucking SEX

  • :02 - "earths done with earths done with" ???

  • Classic! Still love it! 20 years later I still have no I idea what the sampled voice phrase that comes in first at 0:02 says. It appears throughout the song. Anyone know this piece of trivia? Miss Alan Wilder from this equation though...have to say that tollerating Fletch being such a posser hasn't made Alan's absence any easier...such a fake...why is he still on stage? Name another band that has a fake like him??? Just call him a business manager and get him out of stage/studio.

  • azóta is imádom!!!

  • yeah...we're outnumbered...by the blessed dead

    muito gotica e sombria

não canso de ouvir essa faixa estraordinaria.

  • I love that clock..everytime is now..except 12? what's up with that?

  • this song is SO strong! Dark yet upibeat; it's flippin old school DM at it's finest! This is one of their best. I LOVE 80's alternative!

  • God I love this song too! Hugh turn on but awful video.

  • brsmith0898 .... I'm with you !!

I had almost forgotten there was such a thing as GOOD music... then I looked around on YouTube and rediscovered Depeche Mode.

And I still remember all the words !!! My wife looks at me me funny when I sing along after 22 years but still forget to take out the garbage!

    ....

Phew... I took a helluva lot of coke in those days (?daze?)

  • I wanna have sex with this song playing!

  • I saw depeche mode perform Black Celebration tour, 3rd row @ the Maple Leaf Gardens...far from depressing. I believe Martin Gore explained himself to Erica Ehm way back then! Check it out ":,,:"

  • Yeah! I dont know but Black Celebration is the most dark, depressing, gothic kinda album but i love really love it. The song arrangement are perfect. Side B is even darkier, feels like dancing tango with a dead sexy lady in " dress in black". Even better if u listen to this in a dark room, and decipher what Dave/Martin is singing and a verry high end audio to listen to the synthesizers.

  • @TheJammer73

I always wondered why people found Depeche Mode depressing AT ALL? This is not depressing to me at all. To me it's saying to make the most of life and enjoy it while you're here.

  • one of the sexiest songs ever. And Dave's voice is pure ecstasy.I used to ignore DM in my childhood but when I grew up the sound crept in my ears and I have loved it ever since..thank you for this vid so much!!

  • @JRRDPR Of course you should ignore most of DM songs when you were a child (except some songs songs such as Just can't get enough, everything counts, dreaming of me...) DM music is something for adults to understand the whole meaning of their lyrics, the same thing happened to me; this sound is complex, you have got to be over 16 at least to enjoy this music,

  • Death is everywhere

    The more I look

    The more I see

    The more I feel

    A sense of urgency

    Tonight

  • Dave is quite the dancer! He should go on the Ellen Degeners show. She would have some competition

  • Flurer eller lam is the same but try too hit a fly at the middel oof the eyers.

dont ask mee i nov hvat i saye. sommw times mis then damm

  • I'm obsessed with this song&video. I love the body movements of (I assume) Dave Gahan. So sexy! I'm ashamed I just found out about this song last year because of Miami Vice. DM has an extensive catalog.

  • @jonfletcher147 Too much information.......

  • Yes!! I admit, I was in college when Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Smiths, etc were on the music front. But how can you not fukkin love this music now, twenty-something years later??!! I love this shite!!!! Who's with me????

  • @brsmith0898 Heh, I got into the bands you mentioned while I was in college as well...twenty-something years later. ;) I agree, these are amazing bands that are worthy of fans from any generation - current, past, and future.

  • @CamaroRoyale Where did you go to school? I went to Ohio State, graduated in 1991 (damn I can't believe it's been that long). Anyway, there was a bar called Mean Mr. Mustards, Mustards for short. A dark, cavernous hole in the wall that played all the alternative, progressive music. My girlfriend at the time introduced me to the music, and I instantly fell in love (with the music, not her). Been listening to it ever since, and brings back great memories from over the years.

  • @brsmith0898 Sound even better now. I can't believe how lucky I am to have listened to all this at a young age

  • @brsmith0898 *Raises hand!*

  • @brsmith0898 Me!!

  • @brsmith0898 about 2.21 you can hear "ruki prizhmi" in Russian, which means hold your hands to yourself(makes sence in song context) or perhaps better version lingo experts will tell you. To this day I do not understand why Basildonians used in few songs Russki lingo in 1987 music for the masses one of those "military" songs also. Heard anything about that?! I grow up listening DM since 1986 Black Celebration first album. Anyway, Im with you Smithy 100% ^_*

  • @bluelithualien At 2:21 I have always believed DM sampled "I don't care how you feel!" from another media source (television/wovie). Are you quite certain that "ruki prizhmi" in Russian is what is said? I do agree with Music for the Masses uusing Russian samples. The intro to Black Celebration is Daniel Miller doing a Churchill impression: "A brief period of rejoicing."

  • @brsmith0898 well, you know what they say; there's no time like the past, present, and/or future..

  • The morbidness and sensuality in Dave's voice is just majestic!

  • 19 dislikes, nice try Bieber:D

  • I find it interesting that out of all their songs and albums, this is the one that people seem to like the most, considering it's a very dark with a very menacing sound, talking about death. I need to take some sociology classes or somethin cuz that just really fascinates me; I wanna know what that is. LOL

  • @tall32guy I was a teenager in the 80s, and DM were god-like for my peers at a suburban southern California high school. 20,000 fans showed up an in-store autograph signing they were doing in . It was basically a riot of people trying to get in, and they had to cancel before they intended to end it. It's interesting, because I think everyone loved that dark menace that runs under their earliest work. It all culminated in the Violator album, and some B side releases. My two cents...

  • Depeche Mode is magic!

  • GOOD GOOD GOOD!!

  • the very first time l listened dm, l couldnt change anymore my taste , they are, they will be .....maybe forever.....my favorite music.....

  • Very nice!!! Muito legal!! Parabéns, e obrigado.

  • best band ever

  • heard this song and question of lust only one time but it became immediately clear of their vast superioritiy over many other forms of music!!!!!!! The 80s when artists began experimenting with technological sounds because of the computer revolution made some of the best tunes ever!!!

  • the change-ups are excellent & dark on this track. depeche mode music isn't for everyone but frankly my dear, i dont give a damn

  • dude, i absolutely love this!!

  • In my opinion this is one of the best live track by DM....the bass, the beat...amazing

  • DM was the soundtrack of my childhood. And I mean CHILDHOOD. I came out of the womb listening to it, I'm sure. It's my mom's favorite band ever. She was a major 80s goth/industrial.

I remember listening to this song in the car. :)

  • This song gives me the chills.... o.o

Makes me feel like the world will end..... >.>

  • @GuardianLuxe One day it will!

  • Одна из самых сильных и романтичных песен, первый раз послушал её когда болел бронхитом с адской температурой, читал Кира Булычёва, помогло и запало в душу.

    Спасибо большое, очень понравилось

  • this is one sexy song *_*

  • My fav song from 1986... awesome.

  • ich liebe depeche mode! i love depeche mode!

  • 'Death is everywhere' ! thanks Dave!

  • I never paid attention to this song back in the day. Today I decided to play the Catching up with DM album/cd and this song came on. "Come Here, Kiss Me, Now!" Very catchy hook...So I had to come and see if there was a video and yes there is. This is my favorite, for now, Depeche song. How could I have missed this song then? This is a great song. I guess it's never too late to rediscover a great band from the modern romance days. Thank you Nakian.

  • DEPECHE MODE THE BEST OF THE WORLD I LOVE YOU D.M.

  • geiles video!

  • Jenny McGregor from Scotland - if you are out there somewhere you should know I will always think of you when I hear this. Our summer at the beach in Florida in 1994 was timeless.

  • Pretty cheesy. Too literal with the images to the lyrics......

  • "The pin is mightier then the sword.

The authority is mightier then the pin.

The sword is mightier then the authority."

  • Come here. Touch me. Noooooooow! I love driving to this song.

  • my son was born on 9 May..Love You Dave..

  • i grew up listening to depeche, i may have been born in 1994 but80's musiic is the best

  • @TheTotaldd

There's hope for your generation just yet. lol JK

  • @TheTotaldd same and im born in 1994

  • @TheTotaldd You're not the only one pal :) I think we,teenagers who like the 80's, should reunite somewhere so we could enjoy our music =D

  • @TheTotaldd Haha, same! Hi-5.

  • Though it's difficult to decide with Depeche Mode, I think "Black Celebration" my favorite album by them... it's so dark and Dave's voice is so soothing during it, in songs like this.

  • @nightmareutopia There are also a quite a large proportion of tracks that Martin Gore sings on with the 'Black Celebration' album.

  • Grandfathers of this kind of music

  • @MegaAl2112 I think Joy Division hold that title

  • brilliant

  • This song was in the Miami Vice episode El Viejo which is really the premiere episode of 3. Such a perfect episode and this song is played perfectly on a great scene.

  • give us the web - link TY!!!

  • I'll have to see if there is one--I have been doing all my Miami Vice watching on the DVD sets that fairly recently came out. Neat collection.

  • la raja el tema weon!! depeche the best....

  • (L)

  • this has been one of my favorite depeche mode songs for 20 years

  • I forgot how much I loved this tune...and this band. Thanks for posting this.

  • Nice, this style suits the track well. With a tiny bit more polish in the details it'd be really good. I'd like to see more realistic hands—why not use your own, with a slightly different shot for each appearance—and if the lips were ever-so-slightly in motion, maybe with a high-speed camera. Those are the kind of little touches DM did in their songs, anyway.

  • it was a purely technical thing back then,If i had done it today it would be more polished

  • @Malodorok why don't you make your own version of the video, then?

  • massive song , craftsmen at work : sound mouldering , pure class

  • This sounds very fresh and current. Depeche Mode was quite groundbreaking in their own right.

  • depeche mode sind die geilsten ihre musik ist seit jahrzehnten ein lebensgefühl.

  • mag daves moves:-)

  • gefällt mir;-)

  • DARK MUSIC

  • i got tickets to their concert on malmö...

    SHAKINg ALREADY!

  • I went to both shows in Mexico City the first days of october. Have to say this was one of my favourite songs and believe me it doesn't matter I wasn't born when this came out. Music lacks frontiers, time and space al in one. DM!

  • @newmoonmonday Amen my friend. ;-)
