Rakim has been running the game for 20+ years in my opinion,still the best! Common is dope,props to the man,but the `R` will always be top.His lyrics are just too damn clever,even though this isnt the best example of his style-he rules rap...

he represents the people he cares about and sets a positive example for them. Everything Ra does in the public eye is for the good of hip hop heads and those who relate to him.

no he doesnt, the way RAKIM dresses represents his HIPHOP CULTURE. its no different then the way that you see all those HARD ROCKERS, & HEAVY METAL artist dress, those guys be in there 30's 40's & even 50's, & still dress really CRAZY. but nobody never critisizes the ROCKERS & METAL guys, they only critisize the HIPHOPERS. but i rather be 40 & dress like RAKIM, then to dress like KID ROCK, TOMMY LEE, KISS, or AROESMITH, & all those guys are old & still dress FREAKISH
