@InsideNarash thanks! yeah man, just learn your scales and modes and play them very slowly. work on picking cleanly and make sure both hands are in sync, definitely practice with a metronome and don't increase your speed until you can play your scale up and down the neck perfectly. Also helps to write down what you have your metronome set at and track it so you can see your progress, hope this helps.

thanks, just tap 12 frets above the note you hit, there are other harmonics but that is the easiest one to achieve. I explained what i did in reply to another post to this video, try looking at the other comments and you'll see it

its the same principle as a natural. i just call them naturals. i fret the ninth on the third string and tap 21 16 14. produces same effect. he just does them in a different place

I've been playing for about 3 years now. I'm about the same as you with this solo. But those sweeps just fucking kill me! I'll get it down though. I haven't gave up yet, I already know being good at the guitar is not easy at it all. Hell if it was everyone would be a rockstar! I can pretty much play the rest of this song, minus the solo flawlessly. And as for ATR songs go, I'm trying to tackle Six right now because it's the easiest to play. I just gotta work on my legato and sweep.

how do u do this harmonic tapping in the solo?

harmonic tapping is when you tap the harmonics on the fretboard, the easiest one to find is 12 frets above whatever not your left hand is playing. in this solo im fretting the 4th fret of the g string and tapping the 16th, 11th, and then 9th. hope that helps
