It's so weird to think how hard it must have been for him to sing this. I mean, poor Robert! He lost Karac and then Bonzo. I would have broken in to tears, but he's so strong. <3 Love you, Rob!
Its amazing hearing this song live how dated the synth sound John Paul is getting. Of course this is now 30 years gone so what do I expect. The synths on the studio versio hold up to the test of time much better then the this live version. Still the performance is top notch as always with these guys. I guess the bass is being played by JPJ's feet.
This song is by far my favorite Zeppelin song. My heart truly goes out to Robert whenever i hear it, no one should ever have to expierience the loss of a child, or a childhood friend (Bonzo).
@LedZeppQueenBeatles Its funny I literally remember being 6 and in kinder then and being transfixed by this song back in 1979 or 1980? I wasn't an English speaker then but Led had me and their awesomeness changed me then. Such is the sheer power of Led! Today's generation has nothing and it's so fucking sad! I was blessed to have these guys at such a young age
This is to Mr. Clujromanialinkin: It was not the stupid americans who destroyed english but the other way around, It was the fucking British, Portugues and Spanish who destroyed THE AMERICAS. By the way ignorant european america is not a nationality or a country... It is a Continent.... We were doing just fine before you decided to export your Black plague and destroy our Cherokees, Navajo, Mayan, Aztec and so on.......Get it fucking Nordic.
it is amazing. on the song remains dvd you have to listen to no quarter. if you have a sub u can hear the bass lines clearly as well as his keyboards. it has to be the best live bass and keyboard combination...amazing

God! Jimmy's guitar is so raw and menacingly good on this song. Sounds like bits of metal being chewed up by his Stratocaster (atleast on this one).

Sounds like a farewell song to fans. Sad but strange too.

If you think about it , this also sounds like in a very uncanny way, a farewell song to all of the fans. . Sad. and strange too.

I think this is my favorite version of this song live. I love the strings (I know its a keyboard) in this, with a touch of sadness in them

Geddy?!
You mean Geddy Lee sounds like Jonesy. Zeppelin owned the world when Rush was just a squirrel trying to get a nut...

This is a great version. But it seems that it's missing it's "back end." Kind of thin sounding.
