okay first of all, the story behind this album tomas said it was the best album he's ever made, and wished it was the first. he wanted to tear up his past album and Manipulator the first.

the songs i thought were actually good were sledgehammer, the dark trail, and excreations.

disagree w/ carnal on all of that. Their new cd is almost impossible to enjoy. It's muddy and very flawed. Doppelganger was much Much better as well as the self titled. The only stand out tracks on this one are this song, sledgehammer, quarter past and oh, the casino... that's not enough.

Wow, go fuck yourself. Listen to the rest of this album. So much new has been put on it. They nailed what they set out to do. The other albums, though good are the ones that run together. They made use of their fucking talents on this one. The drumming has almost completely turned around, into a slower yet more complex groove. With heavier licks and melodic bass. You can fuck yourself for talking like you know what flaws are in an album. Put one together yourself.

Manipulator is superior to all of their old stuff...Matt Bayles did wonders for this band on this album and I for the life of me cannot figure out why so many people shit talk it...ain't "scene" enough for you anymore? Fuck off and fuck you if thats the case.

i think its a matter of opinion. and i dont think that TFOT would have released this album if they didnt think it was crap compared to the last.

I think the new album is awesome. I think their last two were hella sick too. They just changed up their style a little bit. And if you are really that ignorant to not take their "new" style into consideration, then that's pretty weak of you.

Ok, for me I love both Albums. There was one problem with Manipulator though, it has alot more screaming by Tim Ward instead of Thomas Erak. In a few of their new songs the screaming is really harsh and you just feel like covering your ears because it tears right through you, but other than that I find the new album just as good as Doppelganger.
