@redhead16 Halo was mediocre next to all the FPS that had already been released, I'm guessing it did so well because many of it's players hadn't experienced enough of what came before it. same goes for 'fear' and alot of other shooters i've been trying out. they're not presenting new experiences.

I disagree.. I don't see how people can rag on Halo. It was perfection in gaming. Great story, amazing gameplay(that takes skill), huge and expansive levels(for its time) and an epic ending. Halo had it all. Need I mention the multi-player? Perfect Dark and Goldeneye were great in their own right, but Halo took it to another level. I still have more fun playing the original Halo than COD or any other FPS out there. It simply is perfection in gaming. Perfect balance.

@redhead16 i wonder if partly why it felt so average to me is because i played it on the pc, and not the console it was released for. with the WASD and mouse controls, it definetly didn't feel like a half-life calibre game. mind you, there's some other highly praised games like 'Crysis' for pc which felt like a decent game.. but wasn't special in comparison to previous FPS' i've played. Felt like I was playing Far Cry 1 again, but less fun the second time around.

I was skeptical because Nintendo seemed to cater to more kiddie games but my friend was just like "Dude, Nintendo owns like 75% of Rareware, it's going to happen." Then I buy a Game Cube and what happens? Nintendo sells all of their Rare stock to Microsoft and the series is butchered on Xbox.

Actually it's Rare's game. Nintendo just published it. And Rare is with Microsoft and unfortunantly MS and Nintendo broke off their agreement with getting Goldeneye007 on both consoles. At least the 360 gets Perfect Dark. :D

How Do You Mean? If you have the Nintendo 64 you can still play the main game but you need the N64 Expansion Pack to get all the multiplayer & other options. Otherwise just create an agent, select solo mission and start your way through them. I must admit I still have the game & haven't completed it on all difficulty's or completed all the multiplayer challenges yet...
