  • Oh wow this made me smile so much.

  • nawwwwww.... gosh keith is so damn Cuuu-UTE!

  • not 206 2:08

  • 2:06

  • jajajajaj espectacularr !!!! keith moon esta re loco !!

  • Who's the guy behind Keith that looks like Pete with a moustache?

  • grandiosi!!!

  • No se donde estaria si cuando a mis 13 años, nunca hubiera visto como 50 veces "The Kids are Allright"

  • Barbara Ann! Beach Boys! yaaay! =]

  • in this video clipping shows Keith Moon its a fantistic

  • keith moon cracks me up everytime i listen to the beginning of this

  • man that's what playin music is all about, cuttin loose and havin fun

  • he's not drunk...why would you dwell on it? this is a cool treat to see.

  • Ghost at 1:01?

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, but I am a HUGE WHO fan and bigger Moon fan but this video is just kinda depressing since Keith is obviously very drunk... Am I taking crazy pills but am I the only one that sees that Keith was out of control on pills and booze? I am reading "Moon" right now and love the guy but not his total out of control lifesyle..

Fun is fun, but excess is just that at time, EXCESS..

  • @caligula19 they're just having fun

  • baba baba bibel

  • Cool to hear The Who just jamming in the studio, awesome, listen to Entwistle's underlying bass line during the solo,it ties in with Pete's guitar to the point that it sounds like two lead guitarists.

  • this is a total classic where 1 of the best groups ever took a very famous tune and made it their own, even though it was not quite like the origional, it was the 1st time i saw it and heard pete's romp around? was so wicked cool, yet another reason to the the who!!

  • Pete is the greatest guitarist in rock history, imo. I don't know, or care, if he has the most technical skill. Funtwo, of 100 million views on canon rock fame, may be better. None of the Beatles was a great guitar player, piano player (or drummer?).

The sound Pete makes, what he adds to a song is, the the best, period, and you see it here where he's just screwing around. Springsteen is very, very good, and underrated, by this criterion, too.

  • 2:14 pete's duckwalk.....i love pete and moon are their bests

  • Someboy on school listens to this. I thought it was bad music, but then I saw the Slipknot mask in the 2nc clip :D

  • Jesus Christ, I love Keith.

  • Keith sounds like elmo!

  • It ain't possible not to love 'em :3

  • i would like to see a video like this on "who are you"!

  • epic

  • Pete 1:17 "Now I can have fun!?"

  • when I read the title, I somehow just knew that the one singing falsetto would have been keith...

  • From which movie/ documentray is this?

  • @wlattkouzd the kids are alright

  • @wlattkouzd It's in The Kids Are Alright. This was, I think, the first time they'd actually played together in a year, during the first rehearsal for the one of the concerts that was filmed for the movie. Jeff Stein, the director, says that they asked him what song they wanted them to play for the cameras, and he said Barbara Ann, just to mess with their heads, but then they launched into it. I think he said they filmed one or two other songs that didn't get used in the film.

  • @Kohntarkosz I know that Keith loved Beach Boys. Also, this was first time together after incident with Keith?

  • @wlattkouzd Which incident with Keith?

  • @Kohntarkosz He was on drugs. And they took him away, and then Pete asked the audinece if someone knows how to play drums.. I can't remember where.

  • @wlattkouzd This was about 4 years after that.

  • In the rare moment when Moon actually sings lead, he plays like a semi-normal drummer. Then Pete takes the lead with a solo and he goes right back to being Moon. You gotta love'em.

  • @mindeloman Yeah, but to be fair there usually isn't any singing going on during thrashing like that anyways.

  • call they bad, but at least they know what the good music is..

  • gong!

  • I love the enthusiasm Keith is hitting is bass drum with in the first solo!

  • Guitar solo, eh?

  • The Who covering The Beach Boys?...at the time completely different ends of the musical and cultural spectrum

  • I've always wondered if that isn't Pete Townshend's brother who was sitting behind Keith when they first start the song with Keith at the drums. He looks like Pete.

  • @at90percent he was 14 years old at the time

  • @at90percent He's brother Simon would have been about 18 at the time but this guy looks a few years older than 18.

  • Almost 1,000,000 views!!!!

  • @MannyRamone1 1,002, 294

  • Keith! 可愛いぞ♪

  • awesome :D i love this sound

  • en el minuto 1:02 aparece la muerte

    º

  • The band stops cold when Townshend noticeably loses interest and starts messing with the broken mic stand.

  • @Exilemainstreet Um, no, they stop cold when Keith, whom I absolutely adore, sings the same verse for the third time...

  • Entwistle is awesome here.

  • Happy Birthday Keith !

You would have been 65 if you were still with us :'(

I hope you're havin fun today where you are :D

  • @Iantorchwood94 mate he'd still be taking every drug under the sun, cos he was, keith moon of the who

  • @KikAssConn I think so ! :D

  • Keith seems really happy there hahaha

  • Even fucking around those guys were incredible musicians!

  • just looking at his face makes me laugh

  • 1 word... AMAZING!

  • i love how roger tells keith to go higher

  • @WalrusGumboot65 i took that as a "keep going" gesture.

  • 00:01 "It's".

Looks like Pete is a monty python fan.

  • Pretty Cool....a rare glimpse of them having fun with a tune...I'm sure the Beach Boys had a kick hearing this!

  • Great dumber

  • I photographed The WHo twice in 77. To see the shots go to 70srockphotos (.com)

  • My fav part is when Pete says "Guitar Solo Eh?"

  • @centerforce2 Duh. For me, t his little, casual video captures Pete vis a' vis the Who, perfectly. Yeah, yeah, after paying lip service to, "the whole of the Who is far more than the sum of the parts, yadda yadda," it comes down to Pete.

    Pete *is* the Who.

  • I love it how nobody knows what there doing.

  • @Louietheman1 Yeah, and to think they used to cover this song in their early years LOL.

  • @ebonics4everyone. I love the who they are my 1 of my favorite band. And yes they are a very impotant proto-punk band along with bands like the stooges, MC5, and the early kinks. But Rolling Stones, and The Beach Boys are also very good bands. The Stones and Beatles were one of the main influences of The Ramones of you wanna start talking about punk. The beach boys are also awesome and were also a music infulence in Ramones as you could tell in Rocket To Russia.

  • The birth of punk rock!! This is far better than the Beach Boys version or any song by the lovely Liverpool moptops or the World's. Greatest RnR Band (whatever). Bollocks to the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Rolling Stones. Dog ends. Cunts.

  • They always look like they're having such fun in these videos.

  • Someone please upload The Whos version of " I saw her standing there", it's even better than this.

  • I can hear & see John. Makes it so much more than just a bit from "The Kids are Alright" -- you should add that to the description.

  • Keith:Ba Ba Ba Barbara Ann

    Roger:Bwajajajaaa!!

    Pete:..I`m lost...

    John:(As if nothing had happened)

THE WHO ARE THE BEST BAND OF THE WORLD!! XD

  • @angie7j you must be really old

  • @TrypAVR Yeah!!! I'm 14 xD

  • @angie7j Brilliant :D

  • this is the best video ever

  • you do not know how happy this video makes me

  • gotta love keith's falsetto

  • Pete is doing the duck walk¡¡

  • Did you know that alcohol killed Keith Moon? And also Dennis Wilson? Who was the drummer of the beach boys, who played that song the same way?

  • @RankielGuitar Wrrrronnnggg! Keith died of an Heminevrin overdose. He wasn't even drinking the day he died.

  • @hamtrak really?

  • Comment removed

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHHAH ! N. 1 !!!

  • REDEYE CITY WOW

  • This band was 20 pounds of talent packed into a 5 pound bag.

  • jajajaja

  • keith sounds like elmo! :D

  • WHY DID HE DIE

  • @HannesGlans because alcohol is a cruel bastard.

  • Magnifique !

  • Keith was so cute , he was amzing , I love him since I'm 5 , and I will never stop !

The best drummer I've seen .

xD He's miles away when he sings in this video !! Luv yer Keith !

  • @Iantorchwood94 your 5???

  • @TehSxeNerd

Yeah , my parents used to listen to The Who when my twin and I were young , he always amazed me

( and he still does ) I play the drums since I'm 4 (I'm hyperactive ), and I always wanted to play like him . My father talks about him all day long and do we . I really identify myself in him .

    He's my hero !

  • Moon looks like a car mechanic, but he was the greatest drummer ever.

  • keith moon= greatest drummer ever

  • LOL at 0:24 xD

  • I love them

  • LoL

  • 0:22 lmao

  • they aren't really harmonious together aren't they lol... stick to rock fellas

  • Moon is hilarious

  • That was ba ba ba ba bloody hilarious!!!

  • Does anyone knows what chords does he play in the second solo?

  • Neil Peart has stated repeatedly he was a huge Keith Moon/The Who fan and was inspired by Moon's playing as well as Gene Krupa to start playing the drums as well..just not as a mimic to Moon, but in Peart's own style...as a Rush fan and a Who fan, I can say that Keith Moon is indeed one of the best ever...its a shame we lost him so young..

  • Moony you're soarly missed.

  • There are new young bands out there today making new music that were influenced by great bands such as The Who. They want to keep rock n' roll alive. Check out the San Clemente band Twice Fooled.

  • You can still hear John blowing out eardrums when Pete rocks out on the guitar. What a bass tone!

  • 38 people like rush.....

  • @Rauhmones

And what's wrong with liking Rush?

  • @Rauhmones are u stupid rush was inspired by the who and im pretty sure most rush fans like the who so u fail

  • @NarvieIsADrumma I´m only say some people think the rush drummer is better than keith moon

  • @Rauhmones

I like rush but i love the who what is your point?

  • @atgskater14 I´m only say some people think the rush drummer is better than keith moon

  • fucking Keith Moon the word misses you

  • Comment removed

  • press zero repeatedly.

  • Moon singing this is song is so funny!

  • No wonder Pete Townshend lost his hearing.

  • Pete: "Now?"

  • Keith is so cute in this clip

  • It sounds like the Beach Boys--guess Keith ran out of ideas--stole this from the beach boys--ugg

  • @4uchuck Actually, The Beach Boys stole this from The Regents.

  • @4uchuck No-one's impressed that you can identify this song as Beach Boys. And no-one's impressed that you don't realise this is a fuck-about during rehearsals.

  • It sounds like the Beach Boys--guess Keith ran out of ideas

  • @4uchuck Keith didn't run out of ideas. Keith was a huge Beach Boys fan and he wanted to sing and play one of their covers.

  • that was awsome

  • Whats up with those 35 people?
