i never go by size anymore, because it varies by brand, and by how i want it to fit. i have things in my closet in sizes 8 to 12, and they all fit. i'm not fat, but i am tall, and i dress to fit my body. everyone should try to look their best by dressing to fit the body they have today, not the one they want.

I used to wear tighter clothes because I couldn't accept the fact that I had moved up a size. Now I can see it was kind of a desperate attempt to make myself appear smaller. Now I know it was just making me look worse.

True, but "humans" not woman, should never have to be that size, you're not a jock, or a fat-hater, if you go and workout for an hour a day... Just run cardio 30 minutes a day, a few light weights, and in less than a month im sure you'll have lost 10 pounds+...

What you put in your body determines how healthy you are, not how much space you take up. "Models" by the way, are the opposite of fit, and are considered extremely unhealthy by most health professionals.
People come in all shapes and sizes. If you don't like me because I'm 5'2" and 180, then so be it. But don't pretend it's because you're concerned for people's "health". :)
Considering those who are "overweight" live longest, I'd say it IS okay.

it all depends on your body type. for me, i am 6'1" and weigh 250lbs. i run daily, and work out a few times a week. im also in construction. so if your telling me that under 130 is good, well, i dont think my bones are under 130...

Well, the average "female" is 5.5-5.8, so by that you should be 130, for 61, I'd say 150 is the lowest you'd want to go, im going out on a limb here, im guessing you're a guy?
You should take advantage of being 6.1, you could be 180lb of raw muscle, just a suggestion though.

Ah it is REALLY hard for some people. For example if you have very big breasts but are small otherwise trust me it is almost impossible to find clothes that fit! If they are big enough in the bust they are too big in the neck and hang open to show it all. Or else the arms are so big they go down halfway to your waste and the belly looks like a maternity top! I am praying someone comes out with a clothing line for big-chested broads.

This post and my ability as a musician have about as much to do witheach other as a jungle gym, and curtains. Seriously. I AM EXTREMELY sensitive to plus size women, because, being one, I know what they go through. It pains me to see a woman's body image misconstrewed, and in turn, not putting on clothes that fit them. Clothes that fit make such a huge improvement on a plus size woman's self esteem.
The whole point of this video was to make it kind and clear that if we plus size women find clothes that git, and that make us look decent, we will feel SO much better about ourselves. It was also to applaud stores that provide really gorgeous plus size clothing, as opposed to us resorting to wearing teeshirts, and sweatpants all the time.
But mostly what I would request from you, is for you to not judge my music by any of my opinions. That comment was a huge blow to the face. I'd give up my ability to think, so long as it still meant I could make music. Whether it's good or bad, it's a huge part of me, that I never want to give up. Listen to any of my originals I've done, and tell me I'm not sensitive, or passionate about what I do.
Unforturnately, your opinions and music do go hand in hand. In order to really fall in love with someone's music, you have to like the person I would think. Or at least I do. It is that way for anyone, including writers and actors. Example, Dixie chicks (Bush comment) or Lindsey Lohand (being a "party girl" and loosing contracts for movie deals). You opinions help or deflect the emotion you feel in your songs.
When you are in the public eye (including youtube) then you will get judged by your opinions and your music will be reflected (in a good or in a bad way). True, but "humans" not woman, should never have to be that size, you're not a jock, or a fat-hater, if you go and workout for an hour a day... Just run cardio 30 minutes a day, a few light weights, and in less than a month im sure you'll have lost 10 pounds+...

What you put in your body determines how healthy you are, not how much space you take up. "Models" by the way, are the opposite of fit, and are considered extremely unhealthy by most health professionals.
People come in all shapes and sizes. If you don't like me because I'm 5'2" and 180, then so be it. But don't pretend it's because you're concerned for people's "health". :)

Actually they dont, those who are fit and have a good cardio-build in their system live the longest, I have NO CLUE, where you got that information, but its WAY in the wrong direction, bodybuilders/overweight people dont live the longest, if you want to live the longest, you need a good heart/lungs, and for that you need cardio, thus a woman or man from 110-150 pounds would most likely live the longest.
No need to get toned, but most people find that attractive.

well, if i could be 130 lbs, id be dead.
it all depends on your body type. for me, i am 6'1" and weigh 250lbs. i run daily, and work out a few times a week. im also in construction. so if your telling me that under 130 is good, well, i dont think my bones are under 130...

Well, the average "female" is 5.5-5.8, so by that you should be 130, for 61, I'd say 150 is the lowest you'd want to go, im going out on a limb here, im guessing you're a guy?
You should take advantage of being 6.1, you could be 180lb of raw muscle, just a suggestion though.
Anyways, it's you're choice, I wouldnt care if someones 900 pounds, or if their 70 pounds.
But people shouldnt cry about it online.

Ah it is REALLY hard for some people. For example if you have very big breasts but are small otherwise trust me it is almost impossible to find clothes that fit! If they are big enough in the bust they are too big in the neck and hang open to show it all. Or else the arms are so big they go down halfway to your waste and the belly looks like a maternity top! I am praying someone comes out with a clothing line for big-chested broads.

I never have understood why someone who is an 18 insist on wearing a 14 . It might go on , but its not gonna look good ! Find the cloths that fit and dont worry about the number on the label !

im a big girl, and we get a LOT of schlack from people, calilng us names, and making fun of our weight. But you know what, we're great people, because we see the ugly side of everything. I wish i could go to a store and just grab something knowing it'll fit. But i have to try it all on. Torrid is an AMAZING store, pricey, but like you said, we are worth it. I see girls who do this all the time. There's nothing wrong with being larger, but honestly, wear stuff that caresses your curves... not strangles them.
Then again, I see this in girls of all sizes. No one wants to admit their "larger" than their ideal. If you wear stuff that fits, you look smaller than if you wear tighter clothes.

You also need to try clothes ON and make sure they don't cling to in the wrong places but it is easy to get them tailored too.. =) So I agree with her!

My brain functions BETTER since I've gained weight because I don't have hunger headaches and I'm not as tired. I am 5'7, 205 lbs, and my IQ is 136 thankyouverymuch. Oh yes, and note the words "suggested" and "could" In that quote of yours. Also, please don't use "overweight" incorrectly. Overweight just means over average weight. It is OBESE that means that you have an excess of fat. Atheletes are many times overweight, but very seldom obese.

I totally see what you mean. I don't know why people are getting offended! People just need to accept their size. If someone is a 5x,there's nothing wrong with that, but they will look SO much better in a 5x than a 1x! It is so much more flattering. I also think it looks sloppy when people try to cover "imperfections" by wearing a size that's way to big.. The best way to look good is to wear your size and be confident in it!

This post and my ability as a musician have about as much to do witheach other as a jungle gym, and curtains. Seriously. I AM EXTREMELY sensitive to plus size women, because, being one, I know what they go through. It pains me to see a woman's body image misconstrewed, and in turn, not putting on clothes that fit them. Clothes that fit make such a huge improvement on a plus size woman's self esteem.

The whole point of this video was to make it kind and clear that if we plus size women find clothes that git, and that make us look decent, we will feel SO much better about ourselves. It was also to applaud stores that provide really gorgeous plus size clothing, as opposed to us resorting to wearing teeshirts, and sweatpants all the time.

I had a friend who is at least one size larger than I am, who would refuse to go shopping with her friends because of her size. She was ashamed of it which made me feel terrible. The fact that society has stopped her from enjoying shopping is not cool.
FASHION TIPS MUCH APPRECIATED we have a store like that in Australia called Valleygirl. If you ever travel over here i reccomend it!

I know exactly what you mean! It drives me nuts!! These women who try and fit into an impossibly small size must be in denial or something but...they have to know they aren't that size....otherwise it would fit. It's almost insulting to other bigger women when you see one who dresses tacky!

I hate when girls buy pants or shirts to small for them to make themselves feel skinnier they just end up looking worse with fat over their jeans or the shirts are too tight.
