It's total bullshit, lots of our soldier's get left behind. Lots of POWs and dead bodies go MIA. There were over 8000 US POWs in Korea because the Chinese overran our units and the US left their dead and wounded behind in a mad dash back across the 38th parallel! Some guys get ripped apart and all that's left is body parts so they get left behind. Look at WW2, you would be lucky if they even buried you at all, they just let you rot on the battlefield & get chewed on by animals.
