Because of "industrializing" the old style of diablo will never return, be thankfull if you had the chance to experience it.

You can however still have fear of losing everything when you die by playing hardcore mode though. that was one aspect of diablo1 that made it feel scary, and being movement restrained.

These are awesome, especially after reading the Diablo books. I hope D3 has stuff like this and with the same voices or ones just as good. Now that I go back and listen to these on youtube I regret skipping a lot of them in Diablo, or clicking on one and then leaving before it finishes to hurry up and get a quest or something done. It would be cool if someone did a revamp of D1, like they did for resident evil on playstation. Make basically the same game but updated graphics.

d3 looks like diablo 2 but even more sad cause its like wow but they didnt even attempt to make anything look scary

blizzard made a picture of tristram and it looks SHIT scary with the grey sky, red moon and darkness but when you see screenshots of tristram in-game it looks like a freaking swamp....WTF

and in diablo 1 its hte idea of bieng secluded to 1 town and not know whats going on..in d2 and d3 you know whats goign on and travel everywhere so not as scary

No. Diablo III will be bright and colorful. The game's main graphical focus is on blood and gore. Tristram is a location in the game, which makes me quite happy. Still, Diablo III will be going away from the Diablo feel and instead be just another PC RPG.

Finally, another fan who actually understands that Diablo 3 will not have the "Diablo" feel thanks to the pastel colors. It's getting irritating, reading how other "fans" say "if you want it darker turn down the contrast" and other stupid shit like that.

I think it's too soon to judge D3.

What we have seen might be like Act 2 in D2... Bright and that.

Imho i think people saying D3 wont have the same feel are entirely right.

I mean, look at the gameplay trailer, the dungeon, it looks better with more colors, than just "blah", a plain color palette.

Using more colors will be refreshing to the series, and i trust Blizz will make it just right. I mean, mention me one game Blizzard haven't made a best seller?

@ShrEadHunterN while youre right in we havent seen other acts, the problem lies in that the original development team who made diablo 1 and 2 are not making diablo 3 at all. some were fired, others have left, and even the composer of the awesome diablo and starcraft music has been fired...

Diablo 2 is boring beacause every Noob got in 2-4 wekks Highrunes etc.Here in diablo 1 is not so easy to have a good item...Diablo 1 sold 19 mill.Cds breaks all records just for your info.
