  • First track ima play at my dj set tonight

  • @Akaimayn Please do and spread the word ....thanks for viewing and taking time to commnet. Peace

  • what an amazing track, this man was (and still is) so full of ideas, way ahead of the pack, who else could icorperate, funk, jazz, rock, disco and prog and get such sounds...genius.

  • dissolving into pure euphoric bliss

    flying animals in my mind

    riding this one moment

    wow, the way i'm

    really baked

    damn

  • my first ever concert. steve hillage , manchester palace theatre, 1977 i think. anyhow, thereafter i was a massive fan. saw him at deeply vale, reading rock, when he guested with sham 69 (who were getting canned and booed till steve came on). his music takes me to so many places." a set of organised vibrations known as music."

  • @2009elbow It's always going to be one of those tracks that remain timeless....many thanks for finding it,enjoying it and taking time to comment and share golden memories.Thank you.Peace my friend.

  • fabulous track!! got a tear in my eye! brought back lots of good memories!!

  • @TheElectricWood Many thanks for viewing and enjoying...in a nice way it's nice to sense that it touched you. Thank you.Peace

  • this song makes my mind feel like i'm driving with the windows down smoking a joint

  • @triplights Superb driving music ...awesome.Thanks for viewing and taking time to comment.Peace

  • I've been learning the solo on this one for 2 days now. Those bends are murdering my fingers because I use harder strings. Just now I struck blood after 4 years o.O

  • cracking song...shit video tho

  • @youngyfromcaerau That's cool ...regardless ...thanks for listening.Peace

  • Green was the first Hillage album I bought, and this track immediately stood out as the gem that it is. Steve's mastery of echo effects is stunning, I saw him and his band a few times (Rainbow theatre in late 70's was the first), and was at Reading the year Steve jammed with Sham 69. I don't have a record player any more, so haven't heard this song in many years - Thanks for uploading, Scalpsie!

  • Saw him in Mancheter UK once . Flippin amazin!! I love this track. Just gets the hairs on my arms and the back of my neck straight up . Love it !!

  • @wulfmaer Great reply ...description of hairs rising ...spot on.Thank you for viewing and delighted it brought back some memories.Peace.

  • Some of Steve's work was absolutely bloody awful (real vegetable music), but gems like this more than make up for it. A great musician, and from what I understand, a really great guy. Nice one, Steve!

  • I went to Deeply Vale free festival in 1978 and remember Hillage coming on stage just as the rainfall ceased - like Woodstock in 69 when Neil Young appeared so I hear. 1978 was of course the Green tour. Still my favourite album. Thanks for uploading, pure class.

  • only 28 000 views...I'm going to watch this 1 million times so people will realize what a masterpiece it is!

  • Haven't heard this for a while (don't play my cassettes much these days!). Absolutely sublime example of Mr Hillage's musical mastery! Makes me feel emotional. Thanks so much for posting.

  • One of my favourite albums! - absolute class - I grew up with this album - thanks for posting !

  • Steve Hillage is amazing! I love his music! This song is a true masterpiece. Words alone cannot express my love for this song! As for the video,I know it's not a proper music video so I don't judge it for not being one, however, I think it is pretty fucking amazing to watch, especially when you are in love, like me :) And I think Steve would like it too. Peace xxx

  • @Gruliet Many, many thanks for viewing and so pleased that you took time to post your views which are hugely appreciated.Delighted you liked the song so much and see the video for what it is...merely my view of how I see some of the moods as played through the music...I appreciate your honesty and thank you,Peace and contentment my friend and happiness in love.

  • IMHO, Steve was THE quintessential 70's guitarist. Still going strong today in System Seven. Pure class.

  • @geraberl Much appreciate your comment and many thanks for viewing and more importantly listening...all about the sound...Peace and contentment.

  • This is just a very very beautiful track - Glid on forever Steve

  • Nice video that works well to this great song ... good work and thanks for posting!

  • The video suffers from being overly sentimental - but the track is awesome. No I never glid before.

  • this video is killing this song for me for me. god i hate tom cruise

  • disgusting video for a great song. THIS IS PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC, not that shit!!!

  • Each to his/her own.Peace.

  • @scalpsie amen:)

hillage is a genius and this track is proof that he has nothing that I can see hat has to do with "PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC" (whatever the heck that is!)

  • @azzaggax but some very pretty nice girls in there..The song tells about LOVE,so what the hell is your problem? Why always being soooo seeeriouuusss about the so called psychedelic music? I bet Steve H. would like that video !

  • La Storia della mia Vita, Vanilla Sky, Il Gladiatore, 300,...in un video, parti di film da me preferiti...

  • THis track brings tears in to my eyes, remembering all my yesterdays. Thank you for uploading it. It's still great now!

  • scalpsie, Thanks for the reply. In1976, I was 16 and had no idea who Steve Hillage was. In a local record shop i saw the cover of the "L" album and thought it looked cool. I could just tell he was a great guitarist just by the picture on the cover. Don't you just love it when a hunch turns out to be right? I noticed one of the songs was called "It's All too Much" and figured it had to be The Beatles song, Right again. a great version. I loved The Fab Four and George was my favorite. Still is.

  • Magical memories ...that's what this is all about ...cool comments once more ...thank you with gratitude.Peace.

  • Hillage is GOD! A criminally overlooked guitarist. A sound and style all his own, just like his musick. I think "L" is his best work. Great cover of George Harrison's "It's All Too Much". I think the quiet Beatle would be pleased.

  • Awesome ...like you been listening for so long and always travel back to it ...great 'heads up' on the Quiet One - much appreciated.Peace.

  • yeah - the feel of this tune is just extraordinary! such relaxed mellowness with intrinsic, intense energy. been listening to it since the mid-seventies.

    peace

  • way cool ....so delighted you appreciate great sounds ....Peace.

  • You are more than an untrodden path to me.

  • Absolutely love this track ...brought a BIG smile to my face to come across it by accident.

Must dig out the green Green vinyl copy!

    Cheers, Scalpsie.

  • Greatly appreciate your comments and so delighted you enjoy the music...be cool ....peace and contentment my friend.

  • Love it,

so many talented people in the world.

  • I could never understand why he didn't make it "BIG" in the US. This soing s/b a total hit.

He can play in my band anytime if he wants to!

  • Way cool .....many thanks for viewing ....shhhhh.....:)

  • The video doesn't matter. How can anyone conjure so much emotion from such a simple instrument as a guitar. Listen and behold. You WILL be converted.

  • im one of those fortunate americans who knows about steve hillage. I think this is my favorite of his solo albums.

  • I recall the first time I heard this song: I was flicking through the records at OUR PRICE in Liverpool. I totally froze as this magical music caressed me. A VERY emotional experience - my eyes filled with tears. They still do. Utterly beautiful music.

  • great song!!

  • Spent much of my youth listening to Hillage and saw and met him in Bristol back in the late 70's....subliminal performer and fabulous guitarist.

Mais christ que la vidéo est quétaine... !

    T
