  • Love this video, love the gyros. Every single romance I write lately seems to start with a trip out the I-15 through Baker for Gyros... Did you notice the pernicious use of Michelangelo's David? So far as I know neither of them was Greek...

HA... The bun boy! Yeah. Inquiring minds...

  • @zamaxfield Thank for the kudos! And yes, too many Davids floating around that joint!

    Thanks again!

  • Jeremiah just to let you know the sauce is tzatziki

  • @protopa1 Thanks for the reminder, I forgot the name.. :)

  • No strawberry shake? Horrors!

  • @itubenowplease You sound as addicted to them as I am! I LOOOOVE GYROS! ha ha! T

  • The mad GREEK, the BUN BOY motel, TRUCKERS WELCOME?

    Im just sayin.

  • @NomadDad57 I did put 1 and 2 AND 3 together.. Sounds kinda kinky if you ask me! LOL

  • The history is a long and bumpy road but i can say when the first owner and his dear wife ran the place, and the other Mad Greeks before Baker, the food (and environment ) was superb. Now I read that Mad Greek sold to a group of Mexicans and that would certainly explain why its run down hill. Really too bad. The food was huge, authentic and stupendous. And not expensive either. What a shame!

  • i prefer mad greek café Las Vegas !

  • omg!!!this gyro have lettuce!!!come to Thessaloniki(Greece) to eat a real gyro!!!

  • @GreekTecktonik Please PLEASE send me an airline ticket to Greece, so you can show me a REAL gyros! I'd love to go! :)

  • Thanks for posting, I've always wanted to go to the Mad Greek. Now I know what it looks like. BTW, Baker is a city in CA, not NV!

  • oh and onions i forgot!

  • in greece we never rap gyro in aluminiun foil..always with paper used for cooking also only in southern greece they put tzatziki. in nothern greece it's optional and they put ketsap and mustard instead. potatos and tomatos are the other ingredience used for makeing gyros.

  • I'll pay attention next time.. I am pretty sure it's dill, like you said..

  • can you tell me if the tzaziki a the mad greek uses dill or mint? i t hink its dill and ive been trying to replicate their sauce since forever but i cant get it right

  • Mad Greek is good but daphne's is better!

  • I don't know of Daphnes.. I'll keep my eyes open for it, next trip to Vegas!

  • A! Not to forget - also tell him to add "bbukovo" (it's spicy though but traditional still)

  • They don't dip gyros in tzatziki here in Greece... :P They put tzatziki in the pita in the first place - and the tomato... they never put letuce in the pita!!.. Just go to the guy over there and tell him you want "Mea peta gyro, ntomata kremmidi tzatziki, aektos an aehes tirokafteri!" (One gyro with onions, tomatoes and tzatziki, but i would prefer tirokafteri instead of tzatziki if there is any).

  • I ask for tzatziki on the side, and "dip" it because that way I get more in each bite, and that way, the sauce doesn't drip all over me.. :) Just a personal preference... And I am with you on the lettuce.. :)

  • i always stop there on my way to las vegas. i have tried to replicate the tzatziki sauce from there but i cant. i want their recipe.

  • cool place

  • The GYROS are fantastic!!

  • The sauce is Called tzatziki

  • I LOOOOOVE TZATZIKI!
