@tomrzk15 Sure, in fact, it was about 28 degrees out that day. It works just as well in warm or cold weather. Don't forget that the core of the unit is heated so as long as its plugged in and turned on the water inside won't freeze. That is real footage taken in a private driveway in NY in mid winter. By the way, I was the guy in the video doing the steaming. It was a cold day :).
lol, Man,, we get this a lot here on U-tube. True,, there is no such thing as dry steam. But it is an industry term used to describe the type of steam being generated. Steam output that is around 95% vapor is considered dry steam. You can take on of our steamers and shoot it across a room and no water will hit the ground. In a sense, it is dry. All that being said, thanks for the comment and I agree, they do clean great!
LOL,, yes, this is true and we get pounded for this often so I have to laugh a little :) The industry is sold as DRY Car washing because you use so little water. World wide it is just marketed this way.. so yes,,, lol,, its not 100% dry! BUT it is 95+% Dry! That is pretty dry. To give you an idea, in "DRY" steam mode a gallon of water will last you about one hour NON STOP USE! That is pretty dry!
Sure,, we used the VC-4000-S for this shot. NOTE that if your going to use hot water injection often you want the 4000-C or higher. The reason is the C class has a dual tank system that allows you to replace water without shutting down the system. The S has a single tank and when using water injection it runs low fast. Once the S is out of water you have to shut it down to refill it then warm it back up againg. With the 4000-C & 5000-Ci this is not a problem.
@hewrocs The steamer used in the video was the VC 4000-S. If you are doing this commercially, that is more then one car a day you might want to go up one class to the VC 4000-C . Check them out at our web site shown in the video. Refresh Your Home .com
Well there are many kinds of "steam cleaners" on the market. Most are not really steam but rather very hot water. A DRY VAPOR STEAM CLEANER,, (like on the video) often called simply a Vapor Steam Cleaner puts out a very dry steam, about 95% dry. You can actually shoot the steam in the air and no water hits the ground. A wet steamer can use as much as 4 gallons per minute! Our DRY steamers are very efficient. I hope this helps answer your question.

Which unit would be the best for engine detailing as well? Do you need chemical injection as well, or just hot water injection for engine cleaning?

Um, steam is not waterless...steam is water, in vapor form. Its does do a great job of cleaning though.
