Simon! Austin has become a big venue for all kinds of music and C&W plays everywhere also. Basia's appeal is universal. My fav for downhill skiing is a Basia mix. And this one is perhaps the best!

The album "The Sweetest Illusion" from which this is taken is actually the most amazingly RECORDED CD I know of. The dynamic range & transperency accomplished in this production is almost beyond belief. Even better than Scritti Politti's "Provision" which is saying something. Even if you don't much care for Basia's heavy-syrup style, get this CD as a demonstation disk to wow you friends on your high-end sound system.

Fabulous voice, nice compositions and her musicians are very good. I notice a lot of her songs are not playing in supermarkets in Reno, Nevada. That's how I found out about Basia. I bought many of her songs on I-tune Website.
