I hate being around drunks, and that really sucks for me because in my Highschool 90% of the school drinks underage. That's probably and exaggeration, it's probably more around 95%. It's funny, out of the almost 100 people in my grade alone (senior year, 12th grade), I know of about 4 or 5 that don't drink underage, two of them being my girlfriend and me
Some drugs aren't that bad when they are on them (I think it's speed or dope they do), but when they come down off the drug the mood swings are intolerable. The paranoia from some of these people is just stupid. I hate being around any of that shit, it all just pisses me off.

I'm from Britain and yes we drink a lot. I have taken many substances myself but I've got to say the worst is alcohol. I especially hate being around drunk people when I'm sober.

Alcohol. Pot affects you physically and slows you down, opiates just make you feel good, stimulants make you super hyper, but none really distort who you are like alcohol. It actually really depresses me to see my friends drunk, because it really seems like the alcohol has taken control. The sad part is I drink, too.

The more controversial (not proven) ones: Slows reaction time like I said, frequent use can cause lethargy, and it MIGHT be bad for your lungs: the research on that last one is conflicted. (although it's worth mentioning that the most comprehensive studies show that for some reason, NO AMOUNT of marijuana usage increases the risk for lung cancer...AT ALL).

I don't see it as a personal "battle", I see it as me honestly trying to get you to research it for yourself and get all the facts. Marijuana is one of the most harmless drugs there is. That doesn't mean it has no physical effects.

Sorry but I'm pretty positive it doesn't cause you to be lethargic, I have been smoking almost daily for a year and a half and I honestly notice no differences while I'm sober. Still get solids 80's.

Alcohol but only if i'm sober. Stopped drinking as much so find i'm liking it less and less, specially since other stuff is generally more enjoyable to be on and for others around you to be on [da erb ;)]. I'm Scottish so for me drunk folk are an unavoidable part of life but generally don't judge people for what their drug is (we've all got one) with the exception of the likes of smack, crack n meth.

I'm okay with alcohol (bartender), but I hate weed with a passion. For instance the other night I'm playing CODMW2 with my friends on xbox, and they're in a clan, so they invite a fellow clansman (haha) into the party, and his name was legalize420 something something, I literally hated him so much instantly that I said I wouldn't play with a piece of shit pothead like him and either he was leaving or I was. Harsh maybe, but I don't wanna hear bong rips and inbred chuckling all night.
I really dislike being around people on any drug. It is only okay if everyone is one the same drug or any drug because then no one is feeling weirded out or uncomfortable. With Alcohol the drug I use the most allot of other people around me have to be drunk or drunker. I would never be the only person getting drunk in a group. Salvia is a legal drug in the US, and it gets you a three-minute high, but it's effects are worse than marijuana. I like Salvia. I only hate it when people are on crystal meth. They tend to do a lot of clean up and get all fucked up.

Really anything other than alcohol and weed bug me. A friend of mine was on meth and heroin and I did my best to try and help him get sober but he ended up robbing me and then ODing in my house.
I've had too many really great people destroy their lives over it.

BENZODIAZEPINES. It ruins people. Because of its amnesic properties, they never even notice it slowly cook their frog over time. It's the same thing as alcohol, but in prescription forms. Doctors who don't check family histories usually sign death warrants wit its prescription.

@Ethan1993m I still think the substance abuse should only be punished while in conjunction with another crime (theft, assault, etc.). I've been on weed, coke, amphetamines, ecstasy, lsd, various pain killers, & other random stuff. It doesn't really do damage to the people around you. It's all about your personality. & I'm not talking about PCP here, everyone gets fucked on that. I'm sure alcohol use still has a much higher economic impact than any other drug, at least here in the US.

@Ethan1993m keep it that way. Hard drugs messed me up pretty bad. Pot has nothing on any of the serious drugs. It's a whole other world. 14+hrs high gets you addicted so fast & it ruined my short term memory.
& that's like most people. It takes a lot of self discipline to calm down, especially when you're not in your element. How you react to the environment has a lot to do with your mindset before starting the drug. Learn to control yourself & the people around you will follow.
I don't mind being around anyone on anything apart from coke. Mainly because i stopped doing everything over three years ago and i don't care about doing any of it again.

@SolomonJonesIsBack I apologize, when you said physical effects I presumed you were talking about the "effects" such as lung damage, laziness, slowed reaction time etc. Yes some people get bloodshot eyes and slightly increased heart rate is a given but that's only when you're high. Sorry but I'm pretty positive it doesn't cause you to be lethargic, I have been smoking almost daily for a year and a half and I honestly notice no differences while I'm sober. Still get solids 80's.

I guess I can agree I dont like being around people who are drinking alcohol cuz they do get kinda annoying, but just the thought that someone would want to take speed or ecstasy makes me not want to be around them. Stopped drinking as much so find i'm liking it less and less, specially since other stuff is generally more enjoyable to be on and for others around you to be on [da erb ;)]. I'm Scottish so for me drunk folk are an unavoidable part of life but generally don't judge people for what their drug is (we've all got one) with the exception of the likes of smack, crack n meth.

I detest tobacco use in all forms.
Cannabis, I don't use, not keen on the smoke but vapours, food and so on I have no issue with. Basically harmless stuff and stoned people are no hassle.

I'm okay with alcohol (bartender), but I hate weed with a passion. For instance the other night I'm playing CODMW2 with my friends on xbox, and they're in a clan, so they invite a fellow clansman (haha) into the party, and his name was legalize420 something something, I literally hated him so much instantly that I said I wouldn't play with a piece of shit pothead like him and either he was leaving or I was. I really dislike being around people on any drug. It is only okay if everyone is one the same drug or any drug because then no one is feeling weirded out or uncomfortable. With Alcohol the drug I use the most allot of other people around me have to be drunk or drunker. I would never be the only person getting drunk in a group. I do remember things that I have said or done when drunk and when you sober up and realize those things I just get mad at myself.

Salvia is a legal drug in the US, and it gets you a three-minute high, but it's effects are worse than marijuana. I like Salvia. I only hate it when people are on crystal meth. They tend to do a lot of clean up and get all fucked up.

I hate being around heroin, or hearing about it.
I've had too many really great people destroy their lives over it.
I don't mind alcohol, but I do think it's too mainstream for how dangerous of a drug it is.
That and cocaine...We regularly use cocaine in day-to-day products such as sunscreen, tooth-ache creams, and basically any over the counter topical anesthetic, but we're still struggling to use cannabis in a medicinal setting. Am I the only one that thinks that's a bit ass backwards?

I've been on weed, coke, amphetamines, ecstasy, lsd, various pain killers, & other random stuff. It doesn't really do damage to the people around you. It's all about your personality. & I'm not talking about PCP here, everyone gets fucked on that. I'm sure alcohol use still has a much higher economic impact than any other drug, at least here in the US.

@Ethan1993m keep it that way. Hard drugs messed me up pretty bad. Pot has nothing on any of the serious drugs. It's a whole other world. 14+hrs high gets you addicted so fast & it ruined my short term memory.
& that's like most people. It takes a lot of self discipline to calm down, especially when you're not in your element. How you react to the environment has a lot to do with your mindset before starting the drug. Learn to control yourself & the people around you will follow.

I recently bumped into an old friend who I know is on heroin these days. He was obviously on it then, with pupils like pin-pricksand his eyes just all colour. It was freaky, and I just wanted out of there instantly.
Generally though I don't mind people on drugs as long as they don't get violent, paranoid or just downright scary!
