Sonic seemed to have enough time to father children in the comics. Honestly, I don't mind pairing characters with canon characters and making offspring characters. As long as the canon character's personality isn't compromised, it should be fine.

I paired my fancharacter with my friend's fancharacter (She was actually first to come forward with the idea) Although some people can be lonely enough to want to fantasize worlds where they are friends with the Sonic characters because they have no friends in real life, they shouldn't start saying that the character is theirs and no one else's and ruin the fun for everyone else. As Sonic would say, That's no good.
