part of it. Sometimes it only takes a brief minute to read something that God will keep in your mind all day. The purpose of it is most likely just to get people (teenagers) into it to begin with and then let the Word itself take over. Will someone actually only read it a minute a day every day and never do amything beyond that? It's possible but doubtful. In your sarcasm you miss the point. You seem to equate the amount of time you read with the degree of how "spiritual" you are. First, do you think the point of the Bible is just to read it or to contemplate or absorb what you read? The religious leaders of Jesus' day knew it the Scriptures inside and out and still missed the point. Secondly, have you ever started reading and something caught your interest and you ended up reading a lot more than you planned? That's the living and active (cont
if its not a one minute bible then why would i buy that rather than buy a real bible? i dont want to read your suggestions i'd rather read GODS...... thats why you buy a bible in the first place. you promised me a minute doug. i dont want a two or three minute bible. i want a one minute bible. you spent three minutes talking about a bible that gives us a minute of information. i could use that three minutes and read three days worth. come on your wasting my time man
come on doug, a whole minute? who wants to spend an entire minute with the creator of the universe? why couldn't you have made the 10sec bible? thats about all the time that i have for the saviour of my soul, who was brutally beaten and nailed on a cross so that i wouldn't have to be. i've got better things to do than trying to develop a relationship with that guy.
THE ONE MINUTE BIBLE??? YOUR KIDDING RIGHT? WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO WITH THE OTHER 23HRS AND 58MINS OF THEIR DAY??
terriergal~ Had to really laugh out loud when I read your post about, "What are the other tools?" Forgot to read the Bible where it tells you about the other tools? Here's an opportunity to learn. There are a variety of passages, and here's one~
ROMANS 1:20:
"For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that man are without excuse."
as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
terriergal~ My post to you, previous to this one, suggest you go out in the middle of the night, way far away from the city lights, and look at galaxy we live in. Because we live on the far edge, we can see all the billions and billions of stars towards the center of our wheel. Maybe you'll get a little glimpse of what Romans 1: 20 is talking about.
God's Word is ONE of the tools that exposes who God is? What are the other tools?
What a farce.
Frankly, if Doug loved God's word he would not be following after the Purpose Driven Pope who preaches ANOTHER gospel (Galatians 5) and he would know that Romans 3:10-12 really means what it says when it quotes from Psalm 14...
douge fields is so cool! i totally love this guy! i just went on a mission trip to Virginia and we listened to his videos every moring! he's way cool!
