Oh man I remember these and Stomper 4X4's were the shizz. I had a bunch of the Stompers with the oversized paddle tires that were supposed to be amphibious but the battery compartment never sealed right so it would get wet and die.

I had a yellow Jeep one back in the 80's. After a short time the claws started to get stuck in the tires though.

I haven't seen this ad since I was a kid in the late 80's and I can't believe it (or maybe I don't want to believe it) but somehow I was able to spontaneously remember the jingle well enough to sing along... That's one effective fucking commercial.

Totally remember wanting one of these. Then a friend got one and I discovered how lame they actually were. The little feet would often get stuck and it just looked stupid when it rolled on flat ground.

WOW!!! I Can't believe it!! I recognise this ad and remember I used to want one of these when I was a kid, too! What child could resist a truck...with claws? This ad used to be shown on Italian TV as well (where I would watch it), hence my being surprised at seeing the "original"...
