Actually, we have recently been able to see the trails left by many of the moon buggies, and the parts left behind by the landers. The astronauts have left behind mirrors on the moon's surface to bounce lasers off to accurately measure the distance between the earth and the moon at all times during the year. Will we finally put it to rest that we've been there and back many times?

I know it doesn't matter to you but I'm personally not convinced it's a U.F.O. I've seen another video of a U.F.O. on the moon and that one convinced me. You could see it's shadow as it moved over the face of the moon. It was perfectly round and seemed to have a flight path. It could be a U.F.O. but it's not too clear.

sorry to dissapoint you, but without a infra-red lens, it is most likely that it is a dust cloud somehwere in space. Although they do not accur that often around this area of our galaxy.

you should look into getting a skywatcher telescope.. theres no need for the electric motor.. you can manually veiw objects with a small reflector on an eqautorial mount and it works beautiful.. you won't have to spend more than 300-500 canadian dollars for a decent scope

If you were looking at the moon, in real time, if an asteroid, or something (whatever made those craters) hit the moon, in the exact area you were looking at (what would be the chances?) would you be able to see the explosion of debris as it hit the moon?

Looks like an advertisement for the telescope, how come the original moon shots are focussed and not the so called UFO. Could be a spider on the lense for all I know.

Can you give me a reccomendation on a telescope to look at the moon in detail, (so see the moon base in the caperniam or whatever crater) Also do you know if they make an infrared lense or telescope that i can buy. Please let me know your opinion, and if you can ballpark the price.

Hello,

you need to get IR filter up to 1000 nm and have an adjustable exposure in order to compensate for light level. All this will vary with your existing telescope and the type of camera, with nightvision. Let me know what kind of equipment you have. This is not as easy as it seems - even time of day counts. If you want, I'll design and assemble the system for you for a certain amount of money, which will allow you to see the Moon and UFO's in the IR spectrum, which are normally invisible.

I own a few scopes, the etx-60 being one of them. It is actually the lowest model they have and comes brand new under $200. Depending on the lenses you use, it is easy to see that well.
