  • O shit...

  • to be fair i did laugh

  • i have 12 civicas and ive put a vtec on them all, i think theym pretty quick like, especially wen the vteccy hits 4krpm it proppa goes for it

  • @mitchperrymx buy a performance honda that already has vtec

  • @mitchperrymx you have 12 honda civics? why not buy something with more power instead of 12 of the same car?

  • B16A2 at 5500 RPM kick in on my SiR. I think Honda's technology is impressive myself.I do want to try it in reverse now haha!

  • im a v8 guy, but i heard a 2006-2010 civic si vtec the other day, it actually sounds pretty cool

  • lol :D

  • @Mr42ohh as gay as vtec may be you can hit it in any gear, what gear its in does not make a difference

  • Finally the car is RWD like it is supposed to be

  • It's SO FUCKING FAST.

  • I'm pretty sure the computer doesn't give the go on reverse and even under 80 km/h

  • @n0ledge I think it has more to do with RPM than anything. I've seen one sitting there revving and it was hitting VTEC. I may be wrong, though. Just putting that out there.

  • @8PistonPony I think It have something to do with Rpm too but after 80/h maybe I'm wrong but my teacher told me 6-7 years ago in my transmission class that the computer activate the V-tech only over 80 km/h or so

  • @n0ledge no , Vtec activates on high revs like 6k RPM cuz the valve inside the camshaft have the vTec in there and they activates when u hit the high rpms

alowing the car to go even faster

  • @2009darkmaster lol First with your explanation I can only figure that you only have a small idea on how the vtech is working Second it can't be 6k rpm it would be more like 4k Third I didn't say it's not about rpm I said rpm yes but after 80 km/h and I can understand why it would because it's useless under it, until you reach 80km/h the motor is not really affected between 4k and 6k... so vtech under 80km/h pretty much useless

  • @n0ledge Can you please stop clogging youtube with your rediculous, made up, bull shit. It's hard for the human race to evolve when everyone is reading lies.

  • @iygfuable well it's not lie I said I wasn't sure this is what I heard from my teacher in my mechanic school... the guy worked at honda for 10 years and mazda for another 10. Prove me he was wrong if you are so evolved. Share your wisdom with us.

  • ive hit VTEC in revere in my DB8 tryna get stones outta my brakes, it feels weird though goin backwards at 50+ km/hr haha

  • looks like u can lol

  • that spoiler adds like 200 hp

  • @Triggerhappyug18 if the air is goin backwards wouldnt that be pushin the car up but i bet he didnt put it in right to begin with

  • @Triggerhappyug18 your a funny guy

  • @Triggerhappyug18 theres nothing wrong with a itr spoiler. at least he isnt riced out like most hondas.

  • @Triggerhappyug18 it doess!!!! itss dyno testedd and provenn!!!! hahaha!

  • hahahahha wait till my blown tranny kicks n yo hahahahaha funny !

  • Sweet

  • now turn the wheel.

  • ricer

  • mexican

  • he should have turned the wheel and hit the tree, best thing for it really.

  • @supbitcheez and why is that?

  • i remember when i got my first turbo gas car, i tried this too :)

  • nice! could hear it clearly too

  • INSANE!!! lololol

  • whats vtec?

  • @Whatnotacos variable valve timing and electronic lift control ;)

  • @bfk90 i think u mean "variable valve timing and LIFT electronic control"

  • @ramirezomar91 aye lol

  • @Whatnotacos its a phone lol

  • VTEC= Variable Timing Electronic Control: when you rev the engine the cam lobes that control the valve timing change position to allow better pumping (breathing) to get the greatest power through the rpm range, without smashing valves to pistons in these high interference engines.

  • @TheNineveh The secondary cam lobes are activated by a computer controled servo that allows oil to pass to the second lobe that has a longer duration than the regular cams.

  • @TheNineveh vvt-i = variable valve timing intelligent

  • @pyro12311 thats right.

  • hahahahahah y would u do that! fkin dickhead hahahah funny shit thou

  • its not riced at all.. and looks like an oem dc2r spoiler, nothing overt the top..

  • wow u can hit vtec in reverse , its just as slow as going forward

  • @xb250power youre gay. & stupid.

  • @ShuperShickBro i own 1, so yea i guess ur rite

  • @xb250power lmfaolmfaolmfao.

  • @ShuperShickBro yea i do the same wen i c it every morning

  • @xb250power wow ur car can stay still yes i know thats its maximum speed

  • @pyro12311 iv tested my hondamatics max speed , its a 91 integra zxi non vtec auto sedan (power to the people) can u guess its top speed? ill gv u a hint- it does 3200rpm at 100ks in top gear haha

  • @xb250power its a honda so its fast then...

  • @pyro12311 lets just say i couldnt hit 160ks. and the thing only weighs 1100kgs lol

  • @xb250power No you can not hit v-tec in reverse...... you are retarded for thinking so.

  • @Mr42ohh vtec is not I the gears you can hit vtec in any gear all it is is an extra lobe on the cam that opens intake valve further allowing more fuel in your a dipshit for bein a wanna-be

  • @keving2593 i never said that you couldnt hit vtec in any gear. ALSO.. im still pretty sure that you can not hit vtec in reverse.

  • @Mr42ohh i cant say iv eva tryd nor will i ever try, actualy who cares about vtec wen every other car company is making the same thing.

  • @Mr42ohh but im sure u kan hit it in reverse? unless the "computer says noooo"

  • @xb250power Why would you come to a Honda video sayin how slow it is?? You're a fucking idiot, u wish u had a car.

  • @TheDM75 i dont like honda infact im more off rd person [4wd]. but the reason i come to honda videos for becouse i like to see things blow up or to see the driver loose control of a non high powerd car

  • @deanoobaby things blow up?? You may wanna stick to off road then, because hondas will blow up only if you shoot them. And if you like seeing people out of control just search "Driving in Russia", there's no need to come to Honda videos.

  • @TheDM75 y do u watch gay porn but say ur straight? same thing... i do hav a honda and its a great little toaster , 4 slices at once .

  • @xb250power LMAO What a shitty example, why gay porn ? LOL whatever dude

  • @TheDM75 wel atleast u laughd. cars can be sexy , hondas are gay sexy. kinda relates

  • @xb250power I think it's your scene, because you're always taking about gay shit in your comments for no reason. Honda's rule. You're gay. It's life.

  • @xb250power LMAO!!! Bro, you just gave WAY too much insight to your own issues. Apparently, you made the mistake of thinking everyone else is as jacked up mentally as you. Moron.

  • @InsideTheRage just a comparison, but yea every! does think im gay wen i rock up in the honda, nuthn wrong wf being gay, its just not my scene.

  • @xb250power = Jealous

  • @chew22able i hav a honda, but its not vtec and its auto and it looks like an appliance and it shakes like a train at idol. but a good little runnabout

  • Rice= race inspired cosmetic enhancement. So where's the rice? Learn what the word means before you use it American car fanboys. Thank you cone again.

  • @Bladerunner715 you mean like that retarded wing??

  • @killjoysxe the stock one? lmao idiot.

  • @peeonu25 too bad its not stock. and a rear spoiler that big on a fwd car is pretty pointless as well.

  • this is funny as hell, ricers crack me up

  • @codizel123 idiots like you crack me up. clearly not rice. it's like me caling everyone that drives an american car a redneck.

  • @REWej8 well it looks pretty riced out to me and trying to hit vtec in reverse sounds like a ricer activity

  • can you shift into 2nd in reverse please please, make it go faster, please please

  • I love RICERS!

  • Wait tll my blown tranny kicks in yo.

  • lol is this the new thing now?

  • and it did. lol

  • jdm k20a vtec is at 4k. i have that tune on my kpro in my hatch right now. i vtec doesnt matter, its just advancing the cams

  • @mattdtuck can you readjust when vtec kicks in?

  • @Mrslowestd16 yeah my bad 5.9 they crack at even k series and f series

  • @streetboy281 Vtec dont crack at "7.500rpm" alot crack at about 5.500 and the newer ones like I-Vtec cracks at 6.500

  • @FalkensMaze89 The 5400 (I think it's 5400) engagement happens on the B16 IIRC - I think the stock engagement point of the Z6's is 4800 at WOT. It varies a bit based on TPS, though. Yeah, the i-VTEC itself isn't a lot higher - it's because the K series typically can wind out much higher - though the logic behind i-VTEC doesn't name an engagement point, the crossover seed is simply based on the max flow of the engine, i-VTEC simply changes it a bit based on other factors, too.

  • ok ONE QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU....DOES ANYBODY EVEN KNOW WHAT VTEC MEANS AND WHAT IS IT AND WHERE IS IT IN THE ENGINE AND HOW IT WORKS??? JUST A QUESTION...CAN ANYBODY ANSWER PLEASE I WANT A SIMPLE THEORY EXPLAINED TO ME HOW, WHERE AND WHAT IT MEANS..

  • @streetboy281 V.T.E.C means Variable Valve Time Electronic Control. the engine has a modified camshaft which changes the injection times at 7.500 rpm with an electronic signal. the result is a better acceleration and the typical ROAR of the engine

  • @DarriusSanctoria thanks man, good explanation, but the thing is that i already knew im a mechanic for spreen honda i just wanted to see if some of this guys knew the real answer you know how some dudes just show off thei' re vtec engines and mention vtec this vtec that lots of times and don't even know what the hell is it..but thanks anyways ..hey that was a good answer man. peace.

  • @streetboy281 thx i`m just very intrested and honda and i`m going to buy one in december, idont mind if i work vor VW or not i still love hondas and VTEC too bad that the ej9 has no vtec and and all civi dx`s around here are scrap which is to bad because the civic Dx and integra type r spec 96 are my favs

  • @DarriusSanctoria electronic LIFT control if I recall correctly. Also, more than just the cam is modified, the head is a bit different. Also, it doesn't engage it at 7500 RPM, if that's a stock Z6 it's topping out at 7200, VTEC engages at WOT at 4.8 on the standard P28 I believe..either 4.8 or 5.4, can't recall off-hand. Also, while the injector duty cycle does increase, the larger aspect is the increased O2. It's only more power AFTER the crossover point, before it hurts the engine's power.

  • @MrSlowestD16 fine you may be right with the Lift but i`m talking about a b18c4 from the integra which kicks in at 7500 keep yout facts straigt

  • @DarriusSanctoria lol, I told you I'm not trying to be a dick. Why do some of you people get all bent out of shape when they're corrected. As for "my facts" - you simply said "VTEC" - in and of itself - you didn't mention a car that used it that you were talking about - the engagement point can be set to anything..

Though, if you want to talk about straight facts - again you're wrong. Even the C4 doesn't engage VTEC at 7.5k, it engages at 5.9k. So I guess....keep your facts straight...?

  • @DarriusSanctoria PS: I'm not being a dick, just some slight corrections off the top of my head.

  • @streetboy281 watch?v=_YRM_gD_tkQ

  • holy shit! Haha!!

  • nnnnnnnniceeeeeeeeeeee

  • sssiiiiiiikkkkkk!

  • Haha wow you can hear it crossover to Vtec

  • lolololol spoon lolololol

  • my god you people are cracked. spinning engines? anyone who thought that shouldent be driving

  • jeez, if possible, they sound worse going backwards...but they are RWD....

  • Congratulations your Honda is now a RWD

  • @ThisCore and steering, dangourous combination, like a powerfull forklift truck!

  • @FsxHitmarkerz not yet anyway lol

  • @FsxHitmarkerz ..actually there are certain airplane engines where the whole engine block rotates around the crankshaft rather than the pistons turning the crankshaft so yes in some cases the engine does spin

  • @seizetheweakened what would the engine be acomplishing if it didnt spin the crank shaft?? Think about that for a second. there isnt really a way to counter balance a spinning engine block either. so in your language the plane would be bouncing up and down along with everything in it like a giant vibrator

  • @TheZman77 Never heard of a rotary engine? Not like the Mazda ones but from the early powered flight era. Check this little vid out: /watch?v=sY07FI91F9M This was done to cool the engine enough 'cuz they didn't have liquid cooling systems yet.

It's useless in a car, but you can have an engine on a stationary crankshaft. To have something move, you'd have to attach it to the engine. Usefull enough for a propeller.

  • @FsxHitmarkerz Rotary Engines bonehead

  • this. is. utterly. amazingxD

  • @FsxHitmarkerz No engine? What about a rotary? Those spun ,last i heard.

  • lol

  • at least now its rear wheel drive LOL

  • I wanna see him do the quarter mile backwards. Lol.

  • LMAO engine spining backwards

  • lmao

  • Orr you rough bastards

  • i hope you know the motor spns the same way its your transmission that goes in reverse ...smh.. stupid jdm fanboys.

  • aahahahahahahahahaha !!!

  • At least it becomes RWD in reverse!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @TXDevilDog10 and Rear Wheel Steering only. holy god, might be great handling!

  • Awesome!!

  • @pinoyjumpman23

You posted that on like 6 videos, you're not cool.

  • lmao!! i didnt no you could do that

  • aaaah... and?

  • all you need now is to put your steering wheel in the back and turn your seats around

  • Finally!!

  • hahahahaha a world question finally answered XD

  • dude if you want a rwd vtec buy a s2k!

  • Vtec kicked in reverese YO!

  • He converted to rwd

  • If i filled my gas tank with half Shell with V-Power, and the other half with Chevron with Techron gas...does that mean that my gas is VTEC?

  • @pinoyjumpman23 nice joke even though you got it from another video haha

  • @pinoyjumpman23 Hahaha !

  • @pinoyjumpman23 dude you post this in every import video i mostly seen, stop saying this exact same thing. Lol!!

Neways i can hit vtec on reverse on my eg6.

  • @pinoyjumpman23 thats a good one.

  • @pinoyjumpman23 qaaaaahahahhahahahaha good one aaaaaaaaaahhahahhaha

  • Comment removed

  • @kopel1tsa well honestly it kinda sounds like he just pushed the throttle further but thats just my opinion hah

  • i like the sound! intake/header/exhaust? give some info! :D

  • I would think this feature is probably designed to only activate under certain conditions, and I think Honda's engineers would likely safeguard against low-speed activation (as would be in reverse)...

  • @Mysterio2276 there cant be any mechanical safegaurds to regulate when your going backwards vtec is all about oil pressure...... yo

  • Im not sure if this is possible, but i didnt even hear vtec activate.

  • @Vettejocke what's that on 0:06 ? :)

  • the video is reversed lol

  • @EH3Hatch reverse lights are on but i thought you were onto somthing lol

  • VTEC just kicked in yo!

  • i tried this, as soon as i hit 6k Rpm's my life almost came to an end, shits hard to control going backwards yo.

  • I really like a smilling girl on the left :) And the VTEC sounds also :P

  • hahahahaha

  • it's faster that way...

  • engine spinning backwards hahaha *face palm*

  • They should start adding in more reverse gears for VTEC cars.

  • of course it kicks in as you can hear it you dumb ass.......the RPM'S are the same...the engine doesn't know if you move forwards or backwords L-)

  • lol i had no idea

  • Lol, free time

  • how could you hit VTEC when the engine is spinning backwards duh.... lol...

  • @jairokg if you think the engine is what is spinning backwards then you have more problems then we can help with :(

  • @jairokg you can't read sarcasm.. >.>

  • @Darkendvoid88

This is one epic response lol

  • @Darkendvoid88 Its a Honda, the engine is spinning backwards all the time!

  • @Darkendvoid88

hondas are the only engines tht spin backwards! but i get ur point its the transmission u talking about

  • @Darkendvoid88 nah all you have to do is turn it off and let it die all the way...then the starter motor will have it back on track...kinda like those old vws i think is what did em

  • @jairokg

    LOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL youre funny :D

  • @jairokg "engine [...] spinning backwards" :D No offense, but that really made my day :D

  • @jairokg HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @jairokg Before reading your comment, i though everyone was mocking you about honda motors spinning counter clock wise. But now, holy shit dude.

  • ha thats sick

  • I have a vtec engine. I'm never sure if I hit vtec though, :/

    How do I know?!

    What does it feel/sound like?

  • @Descipleofchrist101 ...what car? I believe there are different types of Vtec in Hondas. Some are more for gas economy rather than power. I have an S2000 and a Civic. With the S2000, Vtec kicks in at 6,000 RPM. You know cause of the sound and it kicks your ass (much more power is being delivered). In my Civic however, the engine sound changes slightly and I get a little extra power..not much.

  • @bane762 some only have vtec on the intake cam, the stronger engines have it on both intake and exhaust.

  • @1covenant1killer7 All SOHC VTEC is on the intake valves only (not intake cam, hence SOHC, and not VTEC-E engines which are 12-valve -> VTEC -> 16 valve). All DOHC VTEC has VTEC on BOTH cams, making VTEC apply to both intake and exhaust. There is also no 12-valve -> 16-valve (VTEC-E) system for DOHC engines (B series, K series, etc.).

And VTEC doesn't make a car faster, if anyone was wondering. It just allows it to idle better and still have a large cam profile at higher RPM.

  • @Descipleofchrist101 usually around 5500rpm,when you floor it listen for a more loud sound,,.......search videos on how vtec sounds, you should notice it quickly

  • atleast its now rear wheel drive.

  • I hit vtec man, even with vtec its still a shit car.

  • It a 4 doors HOnda civic sedan
