It's German engineered. Of course the parts are going to be pricey. But if you actually take care of it, it's virtually maintenance free. You just need to actually be mindful of what you're doing.

STis are Rally cars, not race cars -- there are many cars that do a specific thing better, but not many can do as much as the Scuby in total -- AWD, ALL WEATHER, quick 1/4 mile, good cornering, etc... If you want to race a quarter mile, I'll put together a 500 dollar Nova and a crate engine 502 ... if you want to go fast that way.

Well it comes down to the driver when you go evo vs. sti. Evo will handle better though but with sways on an sti which costs almost nothing will make it handle about the same. I have an 05 sti and I love it, more than the evo, I just like how the sti sticks out with the blue w/ golds rims and how its actually a really safe daily driver.
Sways on an sti will make it handle about the same as a stock evo with no suspension upgrades. Suspension/handling upgrades on an Evo take it even further. Granted the blue/gold makes it really noticeable, I dont think one color choice of a car really defines it's safety ratings. I mean theres like 4-5 other colors to choose from, lol.

are you kidding? you can build a subi from the ground up practicaly with aftermarket parts. I cant swear on their engines, but your friend has to be doing something wrong.

Well that's the thing aye? The WRX itself can be built from ground up with aftermarket parts, but not the STI. STI is just prebuilt.
I think there has to be something wrong with the engines though, cause that friend blew it twice, and I hear about other blown engines so often. Maybe people just like to push it too hard, but even then, I just hear about it more than blown stang engines or something.

not really you can change almost everything in it. turbo uprgade, cam shafts, pistons, everything just like an evo, the evo's engines is prebuilt same as the sti

It's probably cause there always givin it in the pipes you need to give your car a break sometimes and just chill, it's not good for any car to be giving it all the time.

thats not true.......my dad and i were driving and a sti raced us up a hill and it curved really bad after u got up over the curve we must have been going 75-80 and the speed limit was 35 lol and we smoked the sti in a 04 bmw 530i

Well it comes down to the driver when you go evo vs. sti. Evo will handle better though but with sways on an sti which costs almost nothing will make it handle about the same. I have an 05 sti and I love it, more than the evo, I just like how the sti sticks out with the blue w/ golds rims and how its actually a really safe daily driver.

Sways on an sti will make it handle about the same as a stock evo with no suspension upgrades. Suspension/handling upgrades on an Evo take it even further. Granted the blue/gold makes it really noticeable, I dont think one color choice of a car really defines it's safety ratings. I mean theres like 4-5 other colors to choose from, lol.
