I have a cpu and monitor that work just fine, a bit outdated, and not connected to the internet, but I want them to be. I have wifi everywhere around my house, working on 3 ipods, an iphone, a psp, 2 laptops, and two desktop pcs, but I want to be able to set it up on my winxp pc in my room. @AlloBruxelles to keep it simple a router is only needed to connect two different networks, your isp to your own network. if you just want to connect more systems to your network ( because your router has no more open ports) use a switch. if you have more than on isp, ex cable and dsl use another router

Good explanation and nicely showing connection ports. Hope you do a video on connecting a laptop to the Linksys e1000 wirelessly and securely. I have a laptop connected to the e1000 wirelessly after using the Linksys CD but don't know if it is connected with any security. So far their "Cisco Connect" software hasn't given me the information after playing with it for awhile.
