The Army has the lowest standards of entry, meaning that they'll still accept anyone with at least a GED. The Marine Corps requires certain high school diplomas, and alternative schools like night schools' diplomas aren't even enough to enlist in the USMC. I'm going to a night school now and have to get 15 college credit hours towards an associate's degree just to be able to enlist!

I also got my Cpl pined in to my collars. Yes it is stupid but i would do it again.. the NCO took me out and got me drunk after.. This is similar to the infantry branding when you return from deployment. I had proudly taken the brand, I simply call it a war tattoo.

Semper Fi, I can't believe these bitches. Its hard to say how bad this hurt the Marine Corp, mothers of america ate this shit up! This video was posted a year ago and it depicts things happening 6 years before that. Trust me on this, my Corps has been moving in the right direction and is nowhere near as barbaric and ignorant as it seems in this video. Theres jack holes everywhere but the vast majority of my brothers and sisters in arms are fighting, training, and leading with intelligence and pride. I'm proud of how far we've come and we're still moving in the right direction and always your Marines. Trust that, fo' real.

If i'm gonna be in a combat zone getting shot at, I dont want some weak a** marine by my side b****ing and crying like all these civilians who dont know s*** about camaraderie. Ceremonies like these are exclusive and bring your unit that much more closer.

I'm a foreigner who knows a couple US Marines from when I went to college in the USA. This is contrary to the honor, teamwork, integrity and patriotism represented by the marine corp. What a shame... officers involved... no excuse. One thing to give up your life in defence of a great country, quite another to abuse those to whom you should be an example!!!!
