for an airplane that doesn't want to slow down that much for a very short field landing with no reverse prop like the turbo-prop version? Not possible for this landing. I found another way which is a combination of Slip and Skid using the rudder and differential power to bring it in. it took me several times to do this before i got it down. it's not as easy as it looks. Deffinatly not possible in real life because it is very risky to do that. Try it out and see for yourself on FS2004 or FSX.
Nice tactic, it worked well. I often find myself having to do that on approach with a P51 Mustang. Those things make great gliders, they just don't fall out the sky!
It was actually to tell you the truth, Part Sideslip part Knife Edging and part differential power to control desent and airspeed so I could get her down after the "Ground Obsticals" and on that short runway.
use les pressure on the rudder xD

You need to get that tail wheel off the ground on the take-off roll.

Yup i know, it's easier to say than to be done on that short short of a runway.

That's why 3's aren't STOL aircraft.

Just barely cleared the trees on takeoff, very nice. Radial engines rock, I'm suprised they aren't equipping modern planes with them.

Impressive. Was all that rudder action side-slipping to lose speed?

Yep, to loose speed and altitude.
