Ben just has a side project where he writes, composes and records his own music. A very talented human being, and definitely underrated. He's awesomeness has no limits.

As far as the little mini war between the Dirk Lance fans and the Ben Kenny fans, they're both my bass heroes. Ben has way more of a laid back style while Dirk's shit is just crazy and out there, straight old school funk. Both are great but I miss Dirk...just too bad he was a dick.

that is actually really surprising to me, because I saw Ben in concert (without Incubus, DJ Kilmore opened for him) yesterday and his voice was phenomenal. Red Rocks may have just been a bad day for him...but this is definitely his real voice.

Dirk is a better bass player. But bass is his natural instrument. Ben is a better musician all around, and the best musician in Incubus. Mike Einziger will be the first to tell you that Ben is a better guitar player than he is. Even though Dirk isn't there anymore Incubus is still good. Ben does a great job on the bass. He also brings good back up vocals as well.

Mike couldn't have written those technical bass lines (as heard on C.S.O.G.)... he isn't even that technically sound at the guitar HOWEVER his guitar lines are extremely creative.

I agree with you, Ben Kenney is a much better fit in the band, and probably the best thing that has happened to the band to date.

I know, It sucks that he alone isn't given much publicity. Thats one of the reasons I made this video, he's a very gifted person and deserves the spotlight on his own once in a while, not just the title of 'Incubus's bassist'.
