From knowing all that i do about it, it hunts near the surface (like most other sharks of a great size), it would need to eat about a whale a day if it was alive so chances are they would be seen near whales alot. You also saw the kind of photoshop in this video, so they can make anything look real. Also Because they would need to hunt near the surface, man kind has discovered most all the surface of the water so we would have it caught on film.

Keep in mind they are all rough estimates. As for it existing, its possible. Most of the oceans aren't explored. Think of the DEEP water, that we haven't been to yet..it could be lurking around, highly unprobable, but possible
