The goal of the war on drugs is to make certain businessmen richer (by creating a monopoly on a resource--nylon versus hemp) and to aid employers in weeding out rebellious workers. Think of what marijuana is associated with as opposed to alcohol and cigarettes. You can take cigarette breaks (without causing problems with the capitalist chain of command), drink caffeine (work faster!) and you can drink yourself into a stupor on the weekends and go back to work on Monday without questioning why.

@floridaman2000 Tell that to the MS patients who are using medical MJ. It's one of the only things that helps them. I'm not sure what rock you have been under but there have been a very large number of news stories about the benefits of Marijuana. It's also about a billion times safer than any prescribed pain medication because it is not addictive and you cannot overdose from it.

@floridaman2000 heaps of ways, make tea, cookies/brownies/cakes, just by adding cannabis to the mix however unless you are using a potent form (resin, oil, hash) the effects will not be as strong. I'm assuming you do not want to smoke for fear of respiratory issues although cannabis smoke is very different to tobacco smoke and will no cause cancer,emphysema,brown lung etc. your best bet is to buy a vaporizer as they work similar to a bong or pipe but without smoke just the thc vapour.
@coxcox1987 I just turned over a COMPLETE new leaf, hemp can be used for car oil, the declaration of independence is made from hemp paper, hemp is one of the most powerful substances as far as it being used as paper rope etc not only is it very strong but it can last for a few centuries not regular paper that lasts a few decades our founding fathers smoked it and said it is the best thing that nature created. May not seem it, but this is exactly why weed isn't legal today. A lot of politicians are pharmacists or relate to it. These politicians don't want it legal because the medical benefits from smoking weed make it one of the most useful plants known to man, it is a natural plant that can be produced easily and cheaply on a massive scale. The fact is, is that marijuana does not kill your brain cells, alcohol does. So smoking marijuana doesn't impair your judgment as much as alcohol. The war on drugs is a joke. It's funny, all of this money is being spent to "fight", but nothing is being spent on rehab centers. My Fiancees mother is the biggest pill head ever, she lost her home, lake house, all her land, everything because of pills, and we were going to put her in a rehab center, we called every center in the state, they ALL had a 3 month waiting list, one rehab center tried to find us one that had a bed available. She told me their center only had 10 beds. Fucking 10!

I'm not sure what rock you have been under but there have been a very large number of news stories about the benefits of Marijuana. It's also about a billion times safer than any prescribed pain medication because it is not addictive and you cannot overdose from it.

@floridaman2000 heaps of ways, make tea, cookies/brownies/cakes, just by adding cannabis to the mix however unless you are using a potent form (resin, oil, hash) the effects will not be as strong. I'm assuming you do not want to smoke for fear of respiratory issues although cannabis smoke is very different to tobacco smoke and will no cause cancer,emphysema,brown lung etc. your best bet is to buy a vaporizer as they work similar to a bong or pipe but without smoke just the thc vapour.

@coxcox1987 I just turned over a COMPLETE new leaf, hemp can be used for car oil, the declaration of independence is made from hemp paper, hemp is one of the most powerful substances as far as it being used as paper rope etc not only is it very strong but it can last for a few centuries not regular paper that lasts a few decades our founding fathers smoked it and said it is the best thing that nature created. I think this is like cold water splashed on my face this is a wake up call to reality..

Marijuana is no different than any of the other drugs out there other than the fact that it is completely harmless (unlike 99.9999 percent of the other drugs doctors prescribe).

hate the war on drugs but seriously doctors and pharmacist are educated and it's fair to say that the drugs have been tested to work. They have to name all the side effects for liability reasons. Many prescription drugs don't work and are just backwards but a lot of them do work like blood pressure drugs.The war on drugs are about crack cocaine the black market and heroin etc.. May not seem it, but this is exactly why weed isn't legal today. A lot of politicians are pharmacists or relate to it. These politicians don't want it legal because the medical benefits from smoking weed make it one of the most useful plants known to man, it is a natural plant that can be produced easily and cheaply on a massive scale. They tried putting THC into pill form, but it didn't work. Pharmacies had nothing to gain. This will put pharmacies out of business. They brainwash everyone.

The fact is, is that marijuana does not kill your brain cells, alcohol does. So smoking marijuana doesn't impair your judgment as much as alcohol. Which as any smart person would know means that stoners are less likely to drive under the influence of marijuana in the first place. And I dont support it, its just clearly less dangerous

My Fiancees mother is the biggest pill head ever, she lost her home, lake house, all her land, everything because of pills, and we were going to put her in a rehab center, we called every center in the state, they ALL had a 3 month waiting list, one rehab center tried to find us one that had a bed available. She told me their center only had 10 beds. Fucking 10!

Funny how all you so against weed, and cocaine, and illegal drugs, find it fine that you can legally get valiums, morphine, oxy cotin, percocets, and a shitload of just as deadly legal drugs. I followed instruction now im the addict.
Ok I have my card and reduced oiates in half in 6 months.
I have 4 ruptured disc's and nerve damage.
i know i feel better on cannabis then Opiates.
Run out of Opiates you get sick.
Run out of Cannabis it hurts not violently ill.
A plus.
Sick over dope sick for days. Sounds better since you can get a med in your yard.
Quality of life over Quantity provided by pills.

Yet average term for a murder is 8 yrs 2 for child molesters.
Our minimum sentencing and 3 strike laws have been abused by prosectors.
The biggest joke would be the king pin law.

I got two problems with the War on Drugs:
One, The labeling of illegal drugs is just plain stupid. Not every illegal drugs is that dangerous, less than a handful are actually more dangerous or more addictive than tobacco and alcohol, both of which are legal. Also prescriptions are also just as dangerous and addictive
Two, whatever that has been done about whatever illegal drugs just failed. Failed.
It's not that important and it's futile, then what the hell are we doing.
