@M1STAWU1FY That's one interpretation. I see them as existing, but I also retain a degree of agnosticism with SH. I do not, however, see Samael or Metatron as actual entities in Silent Hill more so as symbols used on other entities.
@LilituDemon agreed. I think they exist, just like in real life from a religion standpoint, but I don't think the things you see in Silent Hill are really the real gods and demons, but rather just godlike entities generated by the town's power when it feeds on someone's imagination.
And that idea makes the town even scarier, IMO. If it can CREATE gods and demons with powers limited only by imagination...then the town itself has some incredulous power and can do whatever it wants.
@M1STAWU1FY It's called "thought forms" and its a irl occult idea, that gods can be this I mean. I believe in them personally,(but not that all gods are thought forms.) and a lot of SH is based on similar ideals. It comes from Tibet I think and now it's all over modern occultism.
@LilituDemon Like, a generalized concept that humanity creates it's own gods by thinking about them and wishing for them hard enough? Makes sense, in the long run. The same concept was offered in several other video games, too.

I always considered that the gods and such weren't even real at all, but rather constructs of the town that the people involved imagined.
