@Rayvn7 I slapped this one together quickly just by removing the vocals, so my apologies. Also, I wasn't sure if anyone singing this would want the dialog kept, or if they'd want to do it themselves. any chance you can put the lyrics just a little ahead on this version? by the time you need to be singing the words havent popped up yet.  the timing is right for just watching and appreciating it, but to do karaoke you need a tiny bit more lead time. :)

This video's awesome and all the backing tracks covering up the original karaoke background vocals just shows how much work had to go into the original. Though it's a little weird to hear "What the effing crap? That angel guy just felt me up." coming from just the male vocalist. lol

Thank you. I also had to continually adjust the speed to match the video. First by 1%, then 3, then 1, then 4, etc. Very time consuming. And the Meat Loaf one was even MORE complicated, since the best instrumental I could find involved combining two different edits of the official version, digitally filtering out the Meat Loaf vocals, and reverberating my own vocals enough to drown out what was left of him! And I recently read someone on a forum saying that the music was the easy part. Ha! :-)

I'm a huge fan, and I love the literal song but there's a major flaw with this karaoke version. The letters appear about a second after you should be singing, which makes you have to skip the first and second words of every phrase as they appear on the screen, unless you already KNOW the literal song already. Nice try with very good intentions, but it's sloppy and would just be frustrating trying to karaoke to this, and would make anyone sound like they're slow/retarded

another thing I noticed, sometimes you can hear Felisha (PersephoneMaewyn) at 2:32 singing along for no reason.  I was like "shhh I'm trying to sing your song here!" lol

I inserted a lower volume version of some of her vocal lines, to cover the *actual* Total Eclipse backing vocals that appear in the original karaoke. Her "Rocky tonight" line is actually covering up someone singing the "need you tonight" in the karaoke version I used. In essence, Felisha is singing backup/double-track to your lead vocal.

Well, I also could have made the words change color one by one, too. If I had all the free time in the world, that would have been great. Still, I don't see anyone messing up the words if they've rehearsed it, anyway. Besides, most karaoke versions seem to sabotage the singer anyway by being recorded in the wrong speed, pitch, key, etc...so maybe I've inadvertently kept with tradition...? At any rate, don't take it so seriously.
