SweetFoxC, the wetsuit is because deep freediving requires complete relaxation and lowering your body's metabolism as far as possible; it takes quite a lot of energy (and therefore oxygen) to stay warm without a wetsuit, especially when diving for hours at a time. There are small ear holes poked in the hood of the wetsuit to allow pressure equalization there.
julie is an awesome free-diver and probably one of the nicest people i have ever met. if you get a chance to come to hawaii to dive, definately hook up with her and jo. you will have a great time!
sofabike, we use weights in the ocean because saltwater provides so much more buoyancy than freshwater. We weight ourselves for neutral buoyancy about 1/3 of the way to our target depth. In the ocean I typically wear about 5 pounds with a 3-mil suit, for neutral buoyancy around 10-15 meters.
Well done :)

Nice video :)))
I still do not get whay you going below 20m deep using weights?
If I dive below 20m I do not use weights at all. Have to kikk hard from surface, but above 15m I am getting more positive on return.
Check my video respond TIME-Line 4:03
It is dive to 14m I do use some weights makes me to be positive on surface
