  • I have the same saddle blanket as you in :39s :D

  • i hate it when people call horses "my horse" u can not own a horse

  • @horsesrock1234567100 What do you mean?

  • @QuidamsFantasy they own themselves people say my horse but u should say my horses horse. in my opinion

  • Please... no do roll up. That is not how you ride. And you start of to high, as when you are jumping a new horse... you dont jump highish or even at all.

  • I think its awesome your training this horse and making something of him. My dad trains standardbred horses for racing and they are completely underestimated about their riding abilities. Its a lot of work but they can sure be something when u got him where you want them. GREAT VIDEO keep up the good work!

  • I have a question..... HOW DID U GET HIM TO TROT SLOW AND CANTER SLOW! My standie i have had for 2 years is still super fast....

  • @HorseRidingQueen Hmm.. he might just have a really fast gait, I think its something you just have to train him to do. The ranch I ride at has an Arabian with a really fast walk but thats just the way he is.

  • bibs12 you have some balls (I mean that as a compliment :D) and great patience. I hardly recognized him! You just look so calm going over the jumps in the second part. Congrats!

  • Reminds me of my boy Benny; he was an unwanted standie, i rescued him. Gave him a home. Trained him, its been 2 years and he is still learning, but its worth the wait! He still bucks and be's a bit naughty, he is learning the ways of showing anf proper jumping. As everyday comes, he improves.

What Im trying to say.. is nobody give up on these amazing horses. The trouble you may go through is worth it. They are truly amazing! I need you to trust me.

  • My horse used to be just like that! And he is a standy too! Your horse is beautiful.

  • wow, you've come on really well. (:

  • everyone who is commenting negatively probably doesnt even know how to ride so yeah now thats been said.....i have a standardbred and she had the same problems as yours lol im still working on her jumping because shes having a little trouble pacing herself before a jump :]

  • your horse is stunning he's got a lovely jump :)

  • stop critizing people and look at yourself...you mite be no betta than her.

  • @CasperitoBby2341 SHE IS"NT THAT BAD. STOP COMMENTING SO NEGATIVE AND MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO GET SOME LESSONS. :) kthanxbaii

  • you dont get into to 2point

  • @MonxxHorses Its because of the standies jump. When they first start its awkward. :)

  • you dont 2 point

  • Clearly your one of those 'judgemental' people and believe the higher you jump the better you are. You start off small, you don't just buy a green horse and jump 1.30 do you? Nope didn't think so.

  • oh lord this girl shames my name

    i love you chanti chanti.

  • tht little jumo was probly huge in the horses opioun ok read the descrition hes never jumped before so stop jumping to ocnclusin im sorry buy but her and perry have been throgu halot to geather

  • You do know even Olympic jumpers start on TROTING POLES then move up to these size jumps then so on and so forth. It takes at least a year to get a horse jumping say around 1.50 any faster and the horses tendons would stretch and it would have to be put down.

  • nice horse he jumps high over little jumps

  • Yeah he does, lol. (: Thank youu.

    xx

  • (: i love it, no not everything goes the way it planned only today did i fall off my ex pacer first time ever, and he ran to me to see if i was ok keep up the good work and good luck!

  • was :21 a fake fall? it looked like it to me. NOT accusing by the way... just wondering

  • Haha it was a joke, so yepps (: all the rest are real rofl

  • cuteee video!!

jw what kind of shoes do you have on him?

  • sweet!

  • wow nice video. i have a 16 hh standardbred mare. how old is your horse?

  • well i can tell ur horse luves u in the begining of the vid lolhe is so cute he looks some wut like my horse

  • LURV THE SONG!!!!

  • the song is

    truly madly deeply

    -savage garden

  • Hi!

I was wondering if any1 could tell me what this song is called

    Thanx

  • That is so good. I love standardbreds have one my self. But they are so underestemated in the world people are dicks to think they are bad.!!!

  • thats really good but when you are jumping you are not going up into two point

  • your not in two point in any of these pictures?? it makes it a little bit easier for him if you are off of his back... not criticizing, just wondering!! XD hes gorgeous, nice and tall and he looks like he really loves to jump!

  • How do you teach them not to pace. I'v got a Tennessee Walker that jumps and canters on command but paces instead of troting. He likes jumping, but I'am not sure if you can compete pacing in jumping or cross country. Does any body know?

  • ALSO STARRING ME!

    HA!

    ILY

  • nice video cute horse my horse does the same things he usualy just gives cow kickes tho

  • naw thats not very goood. I'm sure you will push through all the bad behaviour though.

  • here's a tip: if you go into a higher two point of your jumps, it will improve his balance and he should round more. Standardbreds tend to "spread out" in everything they do, keeping your balance will collect and round him. I've got one two, check him out on my page :] Your boy is beautiful and it looks like you're doing a great job with him, keep it up :]

  • Hey thanks so much for the tip!!! :)

Very thoughtful. I shall look at your videos and comment when i have time. I'm very busy at the moment, so i'm sorry! xx

  • lovely horse. Well done, u can see now how nice he is. Amazing achievement in 3months :)

  • aw thats a cute video i love your change in music. your horse sure has comee along :] i love his jump how he lifts up the tail :D love the head set too :]

  • aww what a lush video !!!

    perry is gorgeous !!!!

    luvvit

    alicex

  • Heya Hunnii you have gone threw The Same Journey as me when i got my horse about a year ago now he bucked all the time and didnt like the sandschool if you nudged him on he would throw a paddy and buck But now he is abosoulutly Brill he flys over jumps and never buck(when i say never i mean only when he is excited now)

  • Alot of progess...but..why are you jumping sitting down?..and if a horse bucks try not to put any pressure on the neck..anyway very nice (dont take anything wrong, just friendly advice for a more comfortable relationship) and wow.either he's not 16 hh or you're really tall xD you're both wonderful together!!

  • Im really really tall! lol. I dont think i would lie about my horses height, Orlando my warmblood was 17hh and i still looked big on him. It confusing, i ant really explain why you sit down on him, but im not doing anything wrong, i go into 2 point with every other horse, its just perry, and there are reasons to it.

  • uh..ok, just pick yourself up higher or shorten your stirrups if its impossable, lean your chest towards the horses neck..thats all for better balance...its nice anyway

  • Remember, this horse is a standerdbred. They are bred for SITTING. It might be more comfortable. And who cares what she looks like? I've gone over 3ft jumps clinging my my Paint's neck and we've still gotten in the top 3.

  • WOAH really. yeah a lot more comftorble lol!! i didnt know that they were bred for sitting, like what you said. What exactly do you mean about that? thansk for the lovely comment. I will surely comment some of your videos when i have time. xx

  • Yeah thanks. I've just started to be more two point, i will add some photos one day :P lol.

  • he has improved so muccchhh!

he has a really scopey jumpp he could jump so high

and he has fab paces x x x

  • Thank you so much - thats a really nice comment!

  • Cute Video! I had a horse like that, Her name was possum. We got her going GREAT but then unfortunetly she went lame in her front foreleg and back hindleg and we could afford to keep her D=

  • Gorgeous video.. you are an awesome rider, and he is very cute!

  • nice horse :)

  • great vid, really great work with the horse. congratz:)

  • great vdeo. ur very lucky to have a hrose like him. i LOVE standerbreds!

  • Thank you very much!

  • whats the 2nd song its soo beautyful!

  • The second song is by Savage Garden called Truly Madly Deeply its a very old song but i love it.

  • wow! I love it!

  • lol; thanks. I'm glad you like the song.

  • wats the 1st one too?

  • JOB WELL DONE! fan jet was like that too! Im happy you stuck with him and never gave up!

  • You're horse is absolutely beautiful when he's jumping!!! Congrats on rehabbing him, I rescued a 3 year old palomino paint mare from slaughter two hours before she was scheduled to ship, and that's with an extension, or else she would have died. I rehabbed her and it's so amazing how appreciative they are when they give back ten-fold.

  • hah i landed almost exactly like your all @ 16 secs..

  • the other day...

  • Good work you look happy :)

Ive had my girl about the same length of time and its really neat when they improve so much :)

  • to help him cantering, try going up hills. that how we taught the Clydsedale I used to ride. we trotted him up hills and just made him go fast until he broke into a canter. it seems you've come a really long way in three months! Good job!

  • Thank - You Yeah i was going to do that instead of jumping, but now that he canters now its okay, the problem is with cantering up hills is that we dont have any hills! Thank you so much for the advice. xx

  • wow u to came a long way alsome job!!

  • wow you look really good togther after all that

  • ohhh@ great video!

i can really see the improvement!!!

  • wow, your right he has gotten tons better. keep up the great work!

  • i love that polka dotted pad!

  • All of that in just three months geesh. Youre some talented rider. And hes such a talented horse he just needed someone to show him how to use that talent. Well done to both of you. Cant wait to see how he goes. How many times do you ride him a week. I have to start teaching my mare to canter with me ive been trying ever since i got her but never had the chance as we never reach the arena. Its to far away from the paddock. And i cant teach it to her on uneven ground while the wind is blowing.

  • Hey thank you so much once again! I'm not really that talented at all. He is an exceptional horse, he tries his hardest for me, and he is so willing to learn. I only ride him two times a week, because he does not need to be ridden that often. At the start i had to ride him at least 5 times. Try teaching your mare over jumps, thats how i did it, and when they're cantering go good girl good girl, i did that with perry, and he has turned out good so far. Thank - you for your comment!

  • Yes i thought about doing that but i cant reach the arena. Wich is where the jumps are. Hence my problem. The lady of our agistment wont put us closer to the arena because she wants to keep the closer paddocks for people that come a few times a week. And since we can only make it once a week or every two weeks she refuses to put us closer. It sucks the big one. It takes about twenty minutes just to walk her up hill to the arena and another twenty back to her paddock.

  • Thats not really fair - Maybe add some jumps into your paddock? Also i was going to say, if you don't have jumps, try cantering up a hill, because its worked a couple of times with me. Just keep the impulsion and your horse should canter, if not, jumping! My old standard bred Mojo learn by me kicking him until he cantered, which made a lot of bucking lol; so i would use that as a last resort if your not good at stying on bucks - not saying your horse will buck but mine did.

  • Well the previose owner forgot to mention she has a huge bucking problem and he ended up in the hospital a few times because of her. And on one of your first rides she trew a rearing fit. We were told she could do dressage wich is what i wanted. But i had to teach her how to lunge. And she doesnt know the signals for cantering nor can she go onto the bit bend or steer well or back up. I cant afford bying my own jumps to put in her paddock. And i pay 40 dollars to use it and i havnt been able to.

  • I will give you a hint, dw about proper jumps, be creative, go to a local tire shop and ask them for some second hand tires that they dont need anymore, i ended up having 50! Use them for jumps! Dont worry about collection and lateral movements yet, ust get her cantering, not bucking and going nicely under flat then do that. Thats my advice, you dont have to do it. But im just saying. Have you thought of agisting at a different place?

  • Yes you see this place is the only barn out here but its to expensive for us. We lookted around with no luck and found one place at a friends. We kept her there the first months but it was awfull to ride and she broke out constantly getting on the road multiple times wich was to dangerous. We lookted again with no luck. So we ended up going to this place as its the only one. Everything else is private. And if you dont know the owners you cant agist.

  • Are you serious; that would tottaly suck! Whats your email?

  • Yes it does. The problem is we pay more money then we have to use the acilities. But because her paddock is so far away we cant use those facilities. Also we pay five dollars more then the others because shes in a "private" paddock. I want her to share a paddock so she wont be lonely and so its cheaper but the lady wont let us. Because she is a thoroughbred. She sais the breed is to "energetic" to share a paddock.
