All that remains is a great band. Just because he isnt screaming the whole time doesnt mean that they are getting worse. He could be doing it for many reasons, to help the fan base of people that dont enjoy screaming so they can listen to the rest of their music and realize how great of a band ths is. Or they could be doing it because they have found its the groove they feel comfortable doing. Could be many things, quit hating because you dont like how they are now, no band stays the exact same

Everyone complains that Phil is going too soft in this new album and that it's sounding more and more like BFMV. I'm sorry but does Metallica, Megdeth, Iron Maiden, etc. ever scream or do death vocals in their songs? ATR doesn't have to have screaming in every single song to still be considered a great metal band.

@RyanEnvy I think the deep death growls that Phil does on the new CD should be proof enough that he isn't soft by any means. I'm with you, so what if he decides to sing in his songs. There are plenty of metal bands that have singing in their songs. Sing along! that's the whole point. Screams and growls are not good on every type of song. I wouldn't want Hold On to be all screams because it would then lose its impact on the song. That is when the screams are better used to accent a part.
