  • @unsloppyjoe. The Apache is superior in all spec.s except forward airspeed and climb rate. Avionics, powerhouse, armament, literally everything in the Apache is better then the Super Cobra. The cobra is lighter and therefore faster. That's about it. It wouldn't even matter if the Apache was sub par compared to the cobra in a multitude of Specs. The Longbow FCR trumps anything the Cobra could dream to have by a long shot.

  • Dont wanna be rude or anything bud didn^t the filimg guy look like he was like 16-18 years old?

Or maybe just one of those that have a babyface and look like 20 when they actually are 30 year old ^_^. Btw. Nice vieo and thank^s for the upload.

  • We just witnessed the most expensive route recon mission in the world lol

  • just wonder apache have any air conditioner ??

  • what is the top speed of this chopper ?

  • @13jam100 220 mph :)

  • @13jam100 Actually the top speed is 192 MPH according to Boeing, which is slower than the Chinook! Two fans for freedom!

  • i'm riding an apache wooooo!

  • @xBABYxKICKERx The one on the video is called the AH-64D Apache Longbow. The difference is that the Apache is deadlier than the Cobra. The Apache has more and better Aviation Techology. Equiped with more weapons and encounter measures, it's considered the best attack helicopter out there.

  • @ArmyCorporalRiley i dont know what your talking about but nothing makes the apache better than the super cobra

  • whats the difference between this and the cobra?

  • @xBABYxKICKERx cobra is the Marines attack helicopter

  • Bad ass mfs

  • awesome ride!

  • Thanks for the ride Jordane.

  • crappiest camera handling since The Borne Supremicy

  • who was flying if he filming on the top.

  • Not too many power lines in Iraq, is there?

  • Serious i wanna fly a apache!

  • If America makes a damn good weapon thing, they should only sell it to NATO,(EU).

and not weird middle east nations....

  • thats american machinery there brother on hp from china rofl.....

  • They remind me of wasps the way the landing gear hangs down. The video was perfect....the shaking, the sound.

  • 3 people fly a Bell 47.....

  • That's one Bad Ass chopper!!!

  • why did i just watch nearly 5 minuetes of a wobbly camera in a helicopter... oh yeah its a F**king apache !!

  • both of them can switch control noobs,,,

  • is he flying and filming at the same time?

  • come back here you crazy person!

  • those things haul ass hahaha thats impressive

  • Who fires the rockets and hellfires? Pilot or Gunner?

  • @Hamster307 Either pilot can shoot... The gunner up front has more tools at his disposal to do so, however.

  • How can you use the camera and pilot the Apache?

  • @backfortheattack its mounted to his helmet

  • @backfortheattack hes either in auto-pilot which is more then likely, or the cpg is controlling.

  • I'd love a higher resolution version of this same video. Thanks for sharing.

  • @TheRealFreddyAdu I know pal, i was to busy tasting your nanna ;)

  • cool like the view

  • The pilot who is sitting in the front(gunnerposition) is flying now?

  • During combat or when deployed the gunner will always sit up front because everything gunner related is there, not in the pilot seat above. When training or in garrison environment then it's fair game, either seat will do because if all your going to do is fly then it wouldn't matter. The PIC has limited gunner capabilities, mainly 30MM Cannon and rockets. While the Gunner can track and guide the Hellfire missles.

  • Don't go totally on what Ed Macy says. He's a British Longbow pilot, it's the American Longbow pilots that are the ones you should take notice of first and foremost - they invented it after all.

  • @FlyboyHelosim The Americans made the Apache AH 64, then the brits got it and put in larger engines, and the longbow radar.

  • @SuperFlubberdubber But you do realize that the Americans also put the FCR on first?

  • ffs what u guys smoking, the gunner has ALWAYS been on the front and ALWAYS will be, putting a pilot at the front is just stupid when a gunner could make good use of it, so shhh plz

  • @junkrat1 any pilot can be a cpg. they are All trained for both positions. So yes you are correct, the front seat is all gunnery, but on the 2nd part, any pilot is capable of being put in the front seat.

  • I am in the wrong job :-)

  • 1:37 thats the face of one lucky mofo i wld love his job !!!

  • nice vid!

  • Less posing for the camera 1:36! More attention to flying your aircraft!

  • Thats what im going to school for. Engeneering apaches!!!

  • how do you fly her while filimg lol. Must be a good pilot!

  • @bader58 called auto-pilot, or the cpg is in control.

  • @TMANNTYLER666 Auto pilot on these things is different to normal aircraft auto-pilot. If the pilot or gunner losses concentration for less than a minute, the aircraft and occupants will be at risk.

  • @SuperFlubberdubber Yes, that is true. Less then a minute? Theres 2 pilots, the likelyness of the aircraft going down due to lack of concentration is HIGHLY not possible L0l. These guys are more trained then you think.

  • @TMANNTYLER666 I was not saying that the pilots were not highly trained, but that they must consentrate on everything, because there is a lot going on in a battle zone.

  • I am not sure how this video made it to the internet. A freind of mine sent me the link the other day and asked me when I put it on there. I didn't put it on here but thanks to whoever did. This was filmed during OIF 1.

  • Not sure how this video got on the internet..A buddy sent this link to me. I made this video during OIF 1. Thanks to whoever put it on there.

  • would you rather fly an apache or the stealth raptor?(pretty stupid question i think lol)

  • @ACakaANTMAN not too stupid really, I'd rather fly an apache seeing as my preferences are helicopters. I like fixed-wing but LOVE helos.

It all just depends on preferences!

  • Letting a Warrant fly. Good job getting your "hero shot".

  • must be an LT. Taking pictures instead of flying the aircraft. Would never want to fly with you sir. He has all of his "hero shots" in the back seat. You are PHS dude. Fly the 64, don't video it. I would be pissed.

  • @nater110 i would have done the same thing if i was a pilot rather then being a crew chief, you get bored, ask the cpg to take control for a minute and take some shotz, just creating memories.

  • Respond to this video... Just alittle FYI, im reading alot of comments on this video asking about who is in control and who sits where. Both front and rear seats contain 1 pilot, the front seat, is the CPG (co-pilot gunner) the rear seat, is the PIC ( pilot in control) Now, although the cpg is in control of gunnery, should he die, the PIC can do almost as much as the CPG, but with limitations on certain things. All pilots are trained to control everything in case 1 dies.

  • lolz the pilot is filming and flying, props

  • @airsoftboy1313 nahh hes not. he will of given control to the front seater. it can be flown from both

  • So, does the pilot sit in the higher or lower seat?

  • He sits in the high seat mate. The gunner sits in the lower seat.

  • Thx mate, I learned something today.

  • @Jordane1941 Actually, both are pilots. There is a Pilot in Command (PC), who can choose either seat he wants to sit in, but traditionally, the PC will sit in the back seat.

  • @Kirov686 i know both are trained to fly the helicopter but i thought the gunner will always sit in the front because the front seat has better viewing, as the gunner has a little moncule on his helment so where he looks, the 30mm cannon points at.

  • @Jordane1941 Both pilots have that. It's called an HDU (Helmet Display Unit). We have everything that we need to fly with displayed there, such as the aircraft attitude, heading, torque, airspeed, altitude, etc. We don't really have assigned "gunners", it's just that whoever is sitting in the front seat is responsible for working most of the weapons systems. In reality, whichever pilot is sitting in the front (most often the least experienced) is working the weapons.

  • @Jordane1941 Each cockpit is optomized for a certain role, the front for the gunner, and the rear for the PIC. The helicopter can be flow, and the weapons fired from either station though in case one crew member is incapacitated.

  • @Jordane1941 Both back and front seat have monocles, which can be slaved to both TADS/PNVS and the Gun or just one I believe.

  • @Jordane1941 The gunner does normally sit in the front seat according to British pilot Ed Macey

  • @TheBobster30 yeah, i read that book as well. its great. its a shame that matthew ford was dead and apparently, he was killed by friendly fire.

  • @Jordane1941 damned americans :P

  • @Jordane1941 probably a yank

  • @TheBobster30 I just picked up his book Apache. It looks pretty cool.

  • @Jordane1941 the gunner and the pilot both have the monocle

  • @Jordane1941 hey dude, both pilots can be gunners. they only time the pilot would be a gunner is if the cpg (co-pilot gunner) was killed, obviously in combat. its all programming, If the cpg is killed, the pilot can do quick programing to take over the 30mm, both pilot and cpg can do the same as the other.but in normal everyday set up, yes, the cpg will always be in the front, and EVery pilot ir trained to be a pilot and a cpg. You can trust me, I am a crew chief on the apache in the u.s. army.

  • @Jordane1941 the gunner would usually sit in the front because it has the ORT, or TEDAC in newer AH-64D's

  • @Jordane1941 In American Apachies, the pilot is the one who controls the 30mm cannon with his eye monocule and the gunner controls the thermal imaging system, rockets, misseles, and countermeasures.

  • @Jordane1941 well done great job done

  • @009ijn how did u find this video??

  • Comment removed

  • @40271077 Let me just say that I am very VERY familiar with how the layout and cockpit functions of an Apache work. I can tell you that the front seater in American Apaches is never an NCO, except for maybe a morale flight. Both crew are Officers.

  • @40271077 That's incorrect. All American pilots are officers (Warrant or commissioned). The UK uses both commissioned officers as well as NCO's.

  • @Jordane1941 are these your personal videos? if so how can i become an apache pilot!!!!! it looks like quite a job!

  • @tomkkkkk simple get good grades at school :)

  • @tomkkkkk first, join the army lol, next, put in a warrant officer packet, get approved, and go to flight school. it is alot of HARD work though :)

  • @Jordane1941 I find it weired how in the the tiger the pilot sits in the front seat

  • @Jordane1941 is this a uk or us apache

  • @Jordane1941 how did you film and fly at the same time? i thought u need both hands on the controls?

  • @Naiuhz The Higher seat, the weapons dude sits up front. Don't forget that he might have activated his auto pilot.

  • awesome video man. This needs more views!!!

  • Just plain awesome...

  • no mate found it on the intergoogle

  • thats American machinery right there ooorah my uk brother

  • Amen my Coalition brother

  • @ps3animalfunds True, but the UK version with the Rolls-Royce engines ;)

Oh and we also know who is friendly

  • What's shaking?

  • Terrific video - nice machine - hellhole of a location. Surreal !
