Great to hear the Blockheads again..

  • Chanced on this on the radio. Assumed it was Ian singing a track that had somehow passed me by when he was alive. Very similar accent and semi-spoken delivery style. Cool, rather scary looking bloke! Great song, one of the funkiest I've ever heard. Great lyrics as well. Wasn't aware of the Blockheads' politics before this!

  • yeah at the brook last night..immense..

  • SUPERB at The Brook, Southampton last night, as ever.

  • This is great. It's a funny one cos nobody could ever replace Ian...but The Blockheads have the right to be a band in their qwn right. Great stuff though...brilliant

  • Not bad at all- haven't really followed since Ian left us. Still love the way the bass rolls around. Also i reckon Derek The Draw is the first man to come close to filling Ian's bloody big boots. Am going to pick up the CD ASAP

  • Just having my first listen to Staring Down the Barrel. Greed is just one of 10 great new songs. Looking forward to 2nd May when I see them live (again) at the Palace Theatre. Thanks Guys - Blockheads 4ever!

  • Saw them again, 8th April, Roses Theatre, Tewksbury. Blockheads are totally tight! I love Dylan & Norman! They really nail down the rhythm section! A really great bunch, always have time for their fans. New album has thoughtful and perceptive lyrics, (ahead of their time!) Just listen to the first two tracks and you'll realise why they're one of the consistently best bands around. Not Convinced? SEE THEM LIVE!

Hope your confectionery 'Bust' doesn't blemish your career Chaz! Tee Hee
