as long as one man or woman has no rights in this country no one has rights. John F. Kennedy fought against discrimination it was only translated into discrimination of a classified lot. the poor have just as much right to a fair trail and to equal rights as any one so if the civil rights act helped the black man he better danm well not be poor
We will not find justice at the hands of corrupt judges. (See YouTube videos) Judicial Benefits & Court Corruption Update / Evil Triangle of Court Corruption / Richard fine / Dr Shirley Moore slush funds /SBX 211. To end this title wave of corruption in our country must start with the corrupt judges. We can not bring evidence of corruption to corrupt judges. Los Angeles Superior Court judges are illegally and unconstitutionally taking 50,000.00 each for a total of 23 million per year.
One of the great speeches of his presidency, in addition to his inspirational ones at Rice and American University. Even now, nearly 50 years later, his words make me want to know what Ican do to make a diference, for there is much work to be done.
Indeed, this was one of JFK's best works during his presidency. There is no doubt he was on of the best presidents, and could have pursued so much more and become even more successful had he lived after that assassination. Because of this speech, many people changed their outlook on one of the most important things occurring during that time. This man is respected and missed greatly.
JFK literally sacrificed his life for Civil Rights.
He was advised repeatedly NOT to go into Texas because they thought the hostilities towards him because of his advocacy for Civil Rights could get him killed. According to Ted Sorensen (special adviser to the late President) JFK thought that the only way he could get his Civil Rights bill passed was to go to the state where it was most opposed and rally public opinion. He chose to go when he knew it could be the end of him, and sadly it was.
@jfkpublicservant Yes,..I sadly concur. I've always believed that this speech was the last straw for the dark side of America. His sacrifice was, well, virtually Christlike, or at least that of a saint/martyr. Jesus knew His time was 'bout up; so, apparently, did Jack.
well you talk about courageous leadership? Kennedy was called a coward in his time just like obama is being a coward now. People dont seem to realize this and im very suprised. Just like obama, he was called weak on security. Just like obama, he came in with a lot of hope, but then the realities of the presidency kicked in. Just like obama, the conservative right was opposing him on his biggest legislative priority. Just like obama, he was questioned about his religion. history repeating itself
@jamaicanification Could you stop the cold war? What if you were president at that time? You could have very easily made the wrong move and boom there goes America? Could you have survived a nuclear winter? Think of everything Kennedy saved us from. Obama is trying to put the pieces of America back together. What would you do if you were him? Think about what you would do in their position before calling the men who represent and run our nation cowards,
Watching this instead of Obama State of Union. Trying to remember what real courageous leaders looked and sounded like. We don't seem to have anymore of them.
I love this man gave his life so I could the same rights as every American
