  • Nitroplanes; I want to order this plane but want a large lipo maybe 4000 mAh. but I can't find what sizes & dimesions will fit in the Corsair. Does the battery area fit bigger lipo's? what is the maximum size dimensions of the batter compartment? Would you give me some Nitroplane descriptions & part #'s for the larger lipo's that will fit? Also, I only have EC3 and Deans for charging, do you have an adapter to convert from your banana plug? Or do I have to swap the banana's on ESC and battery?

  • WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE VERYONE FLIES AT THIS AIRPORT, NITROPLANES, BANANA HOBBY

  • My retracts were working at first but one of the doors will not close now. Any suggestions?

  • @soundadvice2k Have you check the servo that opens the gear door? Is the linkage still attached?

  • @nitroplanes It is all connected. The doors open and close freely, unlike the other working side that can not be opened and closed without a servo.

  • so do i understand that this has aelorons but not flaps?

    could you give it flaperons?

  • @7digitalSunday You can but you will need to find a way to install it.

  • So hard to choose which one of these I should get

  • Great video by the way. In the future it might be nice to have someone hold the plane at head level while the other operates the retracts, etc. since people are always interested in how smooth or realistic these are.

  • @BushPilot444 Noted I will let the pilots know when they make the video for the new models.

  • Take it from an old WWII Buff. The slight whistling you hear might be like the real deal. The actual bird was called 'Whistling Death' by the Japs during WWII, apparently from wind going into or around the wing air intakes. It was a big radial but needed fresh flowing air for the intercoolers for all that horsepower.

  • would flying the apprentice for 5 months be enough training for this plane. and do the doors and wheels work off same channel?

  • what should my very first plane be that doesnt cost much and would teach me so i could get this?

  • @Liablethree101 If you never flew RC planes before I would recommend getting a high wing trainer first. Check out the Airfield Sky Trainer. Great flying plane and will be easier to learn on then the Corsair. Here's the item number for the Trainer. 93A300-1400-SkyTrainer182-Blue-RTF-24G

  • @Liablethree101 a high wing trainer and maybe a SIM such as real flight. if you go to a flying club some people may be willing to let you fly their planes if you have your own radio on a tethering system, meaning they can grant and deny you control of the airplane. so if you bank the airplane and you nose it over, they can recover the aircraft for you before its in pieces

  • nice plane but I just check their site props and spinners out of stock no thanks. I already have two planes from nitro that need parts that have been out of stock for three months . =(

  • man the airplanes are getting more scale like and looking hotter by the days...cheaper too !

and im still a noob and unable to fly it =(

  • i would like a nice war bird to fly ... ive flown a spitfire aphew times but i want to get a corsair but worried about getting disorientated with the gull wing ;/

  • Love the looks and how it handles.....added to my wishlist!!

  • would this plane be a goood plane to get after the bixler

  • @mtblover98 I would recommend that you learn on a 4ch skytrainer or a highwing trainer before you get on of these warbird. If you only had experiance flying the bixler you will notice that these planes is harder to fly.

  • @nitroplanes ive flied a 3ch supercub and a 4ch cessna type plane then i went to the bixler

    \\

  • @mtblover98 If that's the case then you shouldn't have any issue.

  • Pappy Boyington's bird!

  • rich kid :(

  • very nice!!!

  • @nitroplanes Do you suggest this for a beginner like me , who has just flown some 3D micro Helis and stuff . If no then suggest something for me!! I want to go for a plane than a Heli and this corsair is a piece of art!

  • @PjDhillon although this is an awesome plane, i recommend that you take time to learn on a 4ch skytrainer or similar before attempting these warbirds. You will appreciate the amount of money saved by not crashing as much. A flight simulator will do wonders for you as well

  • Hawker Fury,TBF Avenger,SBD Dauntless,Hawker Hurricane,Ki-84 Hayabusa,B5n Kate,B6n Jill,Mig-1,Mig-3,Ki-61 Hien,Fairey Butterfly and Barracuda,Curtiss SB2C Helldiver,D3A Val.if you need twin engine i could name some too.

  • oh and nitroplanes send this to airfield-id like if they tried to make a model spitire mk 47.its different looking with the two props.id like to see that in a rc plane.

  • @gunguy702 noted*

  • These guys need to quit saying guys all the time.

  • Antonio - Do you have any tips for taking off with a 1400mm taildragger? I have a Spitfire, and I've hand launched it since I got it.

  • Comment removed

  • why do you call yourself nitro planes if all your stuff is pretty much electric?? ?(

  • I really would like you guys to tell airfield to make flaps and a retractable tail wheel, just like the Mustang v6(??) I would really love to see that. And then, people don't have to cut in the wing and tail section themselves and it keeps looking a lot nicer!!

Please do that, would be so cool!

  • Are warbirds rugged

  • Has anybody had any trouble with there retracts.....

  • @allpresscoffee1

Yes I bought mine in June and have not been able to fly it because I have an issue with the retracts.

One of them works fine but the other one struggles to retract itself back into the wing. If I hold the plane upside down it also struggles to extend itself. The design of the retracts is nice but the quality of the motors used in the retracts is disappointing

Unfortunately I wont be able to maiden this bird for a while until I can afford some new retracts.

  • Excellent flight, excellent review, excellent plane. Thanks for posting.

  • i hear a camera taking burst pictures. which was used in this video?

  • I had a Parkzone Corsair and the dark blue was hard to see orientation at times. I'm thinking the silver one would be easier to keep track of? Thanks...

  • Nice, i cant wait to get my P-40 .great looking and flying planes you guys have ,

  • If you guys are flyng with larger batteries than stock ie 30C, are you using the stock supplied ESC or have you upgraded them for these flights?

  • @Gonads1259 stock is fine

  • @nitroplanes Hey guy's you have some great stuff. Which is you all time favorite war bird?

  • @Imfunflyer3 P-51 Mustang

  • tony, hi! its a good video and a great tips. i'm planning to buy your p51 mustang and corsair 1430 warbird. but i want the upgraded battery/battery charger too. and also if u can tell me the best transmitter and receiver, or can u tell me the brand of your transmitter you're using right now? when u get a chance pls. email me (alaskador1@yahoo.com) the information so that i can get your low price promotion till july 2011.

  • im getting the gray corsair today and its great

its good for a change in color scheme, like the dango red in the p 51 !!!!!!!!! so stop whinning about the color scheme at least you get to choose!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im getting the gray corsair today and its great

  • Non existent Naval color scheme... Get the scheme correct please...

  • @nolifemerc

    Come on WHAT?

  • @trondyne shut up

  • @nolifemerc

    Okay what are you 12?

Scale warbirds should have the correct paint scheme.. It's not that hard to do and I am sure both the company and the customers would prefer it correctly done.

As far as what you think...apparently not much...

  • Hah. Tony is flying the gray one, and Tony is flying the blue one.

  • Anybody in Australia have one yet. My plane should be here in 4 days........

  • Guys...mine is not nearly as stable as either of these two planes. It porpoises all over the place. I use a Blue Lipo 2200 4s battery. Mine seems way underpowered compared to these. I would sure appreciate some tips how to set mine up. Also, where do you have your control arms set? Thanks a lot.

  • These planes are AWESOME!

  • I love how you set it up in the fast, slow, stall, and aerobatics keep up the good work Nitroplanes

  • Hey guys...you should advise buyers that the esc in these planes is NOT compatible with Specktrum! I bought the ARF Corsair a month ago and still not able to even lower the gear because the esc that came with it and the two replacements from NP will not work with my Specktrum AR6110e receiver. VERY disappointed. Plane looks good sitting around, though.

  • @6Sally5 Is it with all the Spectrum Receivers

  • @allpresscoffee1 I can't speak for them all...just my AR6110e and NP's admission it seems to be a problem. FYI, I now have had my plane since 4/15/11 and I still do not have a usable esc from NP "service" department! I was on the phone with their supervisor, Danny, who apoligized ans said they are sending me now a used esc they have been flying the corsair with a Specktrum radio and receiver. BTW...they promised that two weeks ago and I don't have it yet. VERY disappointed with NP :-(

  • Can we get these planes in Australia

  • Hello, I have this same model and have some easy questions as I'm at the end of my build. Where did you purchase the metal rock crawling weights? Also, how did you attach the weights to the nose so they will not fall off in flight? - Lastly, could you utilize a 4s 4000mAh battery to make up for the 5 oz + in weight? I also like to fly nose heavy but essentially want to get the same effect flying; without having to add the extra rock crawling weights to compensate for a better flight. Thanks! :)

  • Is that the same FMS large scale Corsair as in other reviews or a different brand ? Tx.

  • its my b-day tomorrow

  • A couple guys at the field here in Las Vegas have these. This is one beautiful plane. The rotating retracts are awesome. Can't wait for them to be back in stock.

  • quick question, when you fly inverted are the controls also inverted?

  • Nice War Birds but I see you have shown BF 109 but when will you shown and do a flight review on a Zero fighter???????

  • Very beautiful bird but had a little mishap when getting it together. hooked battery and plane took off in my house and 2 of the props broke.I looked on your site for a replacement ,but they are out of stock. Any suggestions?I used the other 2 props and i hope it fly's till i find new blades.

  • Looks great, just ordered one, grey version hope it survives the transport to Sweden :)

  • 5oz of dead weight? Why not use a higher Mah Lipo? If you need extra weight you might as well get some use out of it. Even a bigger heavier motor would be more desireable. Although I don't know that the airframe will take it. I saw the gull wing straighten out on the negative G pushes. It is really pretty, but 5oz of dead weight is crazy. Let's see another video with a 4s 4000 or 5000 stuffed in there. Thanks guys.

  • What is the level of difficulty of this plane?

  • Not bad for a youngster. Keep practicing and in a couple years you will be able to get rid of the junior transmitter and move up to an adult one

  • It must be so funny

  • Very good looking plane there. Would love to order one but with those shipping costs to europe... no can do. Nice video though. Congrats.

  • can you tell me which Tx are you using?you said something about "union transmitter?"?thanks!

  • i dont get any of this rc stuff i want to make a rc b29 bomber out of plywood and idk what to do for the flaps, idk how i would get them to go up and down and left to right. and the motor or wat ever u call them... and i wanna make small 5- 10 inch .50 cal airsoft guns to put into da wing... and the remote... and landing gear

  • does it do flips?

  • Hiya Tony, I'm loving that Navy F4U Corsair in the gray color scheme. However, I'm a park flyer guy . My question for you is: Do you have the gray Navy Corsair in the park flyer/800mm scale?

Thank you, and GREAT! video....Keep um coming.

  • is it a form plane??????

  • @fishingboy11 Yes it and it is GIANT! lol

  • Hi i would love to have the 5ch sky trainer 55 inches WS. I live in New brunswick in Canada...i much would pay in shippin ? just an average

  • During the war I did, what a sweet plane "Backwater Betty", now I just watch my son and grandson fly the RC's. Loads of fun and it brings back precious memories of flying over the cobalt blue ocean and atolls. Keep up the good videos, I enjoy yours the most...your a natural!

  • NICE!!! i have been waiting for this baby to come out! i already have the mustang, and the p-40!!! this would really be an excellent addition to my hangar! when does it come out?

  • @MrScottfrazier its already out of stock (both colors)

  • @MrScottfrazier It's already available on our site :) - Jett

  • Did both of you add the nose weight or just Tony? Seems like it's calling out for a bigger motor if you really need that extra weight.

  • @BigMeanyVids We both added nose weight. A bigger motor is not really need since the stock motor is plenty enough for the plane lol A bigger motor would just mean less flight time unless a bigger battery is used.

    -Tony

  • Great video guys. Very nicely done and detailed enough that now I'm going to have to buy one. :)

  • @BigMeanyVids Thanks! Let us know how she flies after you get it :)

    -Tony

  • Great job on the video guys. I'm digging the new color scheme. Might be ordering one up here.

  • Fantastic reviews. One of the main reasons why I like your reviews is that they are very complete, honest, and have great tips as well. BTW...My Dynam SR22 from Nitroplanes has 30+ flights on it already, and still looks brand new, and holding up well. Keep up the awesome work!

  • @mikefly562 Thanks man. We greatly appreciate your kind comment :) glad you like the SR22

    -Tony

  • lol Junior? .. oh JR!.. eheh. never heard anyone call it junior in all my years.

  • @RingburnDave lol I always been wanting to say that just to see if any will catch junior :)

    -Tony

  • I bet it flys as good as the one I sat in WWII out in the Pacific!!!!

  • @Docdaugh Whoa you flew the real thing? Do you fly RC too? :)

    -Tony

  • Alright, thanks very much guys :)

  • @lolpranksta :)

    -Tony

  • This model looks to fly very stable. Maybe it was just a clamer day, but is seemed smoother than most of the other vids Ive seen. Im thinking of picking this one up. Just needs a Zero to fly with it!

  • when will it come out

    ????????????????

  • lolpranksta, I would advise you to get a Flight simulator and learn the basics on it first much cheaper on your wallet, then start out with a trainer plane. Good Luck!

  • did not mean to sound like I was hating, just jealous ..lol.

  • hey guys, i was just wondering, i've never flown any RC planes and after this video i'm really looking forward to buy this corsair.

should i use this one as a beginner or is it too much for me to handle at first?

    please reply, anyone! thanks!

  • @lolpranksta Never start off with a actual plane, Flight simulator is your best friend

  • @lolpranksta I would never recommend a warbird as a first aircraft. You should look into one of the trainers Nitroplanes offers as a starter. You should also find an experienced RC instructor. Your aircraft and your wallet will thank you.

  • @lolpranksta

Way too much for you to handle at first. It would just end up as a pile of foam. Start off with something high wing and preferably a pusher.

  • Thanks for showing the flight characteristics in all flight modes. That information is really useful. A very nice airframe.

  • You guys are getting really really good with the flight demonstrations. I look forward to watching every video you post! Keep up the Great Work!

  • Junior Transmitter.....lol Tony they call it J R by each letter. We will get you up to speed. :P

  • @Lithonion1 Junior was a joke lol :) I know it's called JR haha I always wanted to call it junior just for fun. I called it JR in my other build review...

    -Tony

  • Hey Guys great flight =D I've already purchased my corsair, and i thank you for all the support

    -52kyt

  • @52kyt Thanks. Enjoy your new Corsair!

    -Tony

  • @nitroplanes , hi toney i think antonio , out flew you in the corsair shoot. hes pretty good . anyway great job both of you two. good stuff. hey u and pete should do a "cant we all get along video". lol. i like both b h and nitro good planes prices etc.. every co. has ups and downs , with the b-25 and the corsairs , nitro one uped b h , this yeaqr at least

  • @nitroplanes whoes a better pilot antonio did good?

  • Thats a J...R... Transmitter, not a junior.....lol

  • wow 6:35...really close to the ground

  • thanks for the info Tony...it's what i needed to know!

  • you guys have the best job :)

does it fly the same with everything stock? if ever this will be my very first plane.

thank you and keep up the good work!!!

  • @jpls75 Lol thanks. We enjoy the hobby...

Yes everything was stock on the plane except for the battery because we were using the ARF version which did not come with a battery, rx, and tx. Well I would recommend this plane as a first plane. It does fly good but due to the nature of it being a scale warbird it tends to have the same flight characteristic.

    -Tony

  • I have the Top Flight Gold Edition F4U 60 size. with a Siper Tiger G90 It stalls nose first. I ballanced the plane so it sits level when you hold the prop and tail. I have a MA 13x6 on it now, but I want more speed out of it so I'm going to put on a MA 14x6. With the flaps down it lands like a feather with the robart retract struts. I'll put a flight of it as a video response on here. It flies just like yours.

  • @UtRadioGuy Awesome man. Yea post a video up when you get a chance :)

    -Tony

  • @nitroplanes - I put up the video. Did you get it?

  • hahahah at the "stall characteristics" that looked like a radian.

  • @xmodscarbonslost wow your good. Yep it was a Radian

    -Tony

  • where can i get that motor?...i wunt 1 for my blue

    p-51

  • @Pono421 hobbypartz . com - not in stock at the moment

  • very nice work, both of you...liked the review very much, not to mention the planes, for the first time im thinking about a different colorscheme for the corsair...surprisingly the grey one looks really cool...do u think the retracts can handle grass runways for take offs and landings???

  • @WarbirdFan66 Thanks man! Yea the grey does look pretty neat in the air. i didn't get a change to test grass landings because the field I fly at has a lot of bumps and pot holes. Those for sure will break any retracts haha. If your grass runway is short and smooth the retracts should not have any problem.

    -Tony

  • nice..what Charge C rate can the Sky Lipo's..the 40c's take? no one has answered me on this...

  • @JettaManDan09 We only recommend a max charge rate of 2c, but I have done up to 3c with no problem. My charger only goes up to 3c lol. I'm sure the SkyLipo can be charged at a higher C rate since most lipos now can handle more, but for safety purpose we only recommend 2c for the Max.

    -Tony

  • Nice planes and very silent too.

    Greetings

    Erik

  • @RikkieRc yup, sounds great in the air, Swoosh

  • Nice, I will order one of each ! The Blue one reminds me of the one I was lucky enough to spend a day with. youtube.com/watch?v=16XUvc4UNjw

  • @pjdorothy1 link's not working, but definitely upload some vids once you get these in :)

  • Yet again one of my favourite war birds and that grey/white one would sit really well with my other Navy blue F4U Corsair ;-) but we need you boys to open a shop up over here in Europe A.S.A.P ;-) thumbs up.

  • @startazz Well see what we can do, :)

  • The corsair translates into foam or balsa wood/fiber glass very well. This looks like it flies every bit as well as the parkzone only bigger! Looks like this one doesn't need flaps at all either.

  • Sweet Plane. I love the detail and how it flys.

  • Hey guys, do you use the rudder for turning at slow speeds ?

  • @marinjeam Yes. rudder is a must at the slow speeds or else the plane will loose a lot of altitude. Just remember not to over do it or else the nose will drop too much :)

    -Tony

  • Now I Like this bird... Anything smaller is a waste... Love that it has retracts...

  • @shypilito1 Yea the bigger the plane the better it looks :)

    -Tony

  • Though I have a full packed modell cellar in my house

you guyes convinced me to commit another sin:-)

    Uwe(alias govier)

  • @austriaelephant Take some pictures and well post them on our Facebook Fan page :)

  • Nice scale take off Antonio. Also love the sound of the 4 blade, almost makes it sound real. But seriously guys, you make it look easy to fly one of these, how easy is it really to fly? should we have a few over repaired trainers under our belt?

  • @metastopheles Just about any foamy corsair 4 channel makes an awesome 2nd airplane. Odds are you will enjoy more than your 3rd or 4th plane. The tend to need quite a bit of down elevator inverted and knife edges are messy, but extremely predictable handling characteristics.

  • @metastopheles Thanks...Yea Antonio is a pro at flying :) It's not really that hard to fly. We have a lot of flying time on our belts so it comes natural to use lol Most planes fly the same. Just got to remember that the scale planes have their own flighht characteristics like the real thing

    -Tony

  • Very nice plane! I like the retracts and the sound of the 4-bladed prop...

  • @Huebel01 Yea those 4 bladed prop sure sounds nice

    -Tony

  • ratatat sounds like a 1dmk2 or mk3...

  • 3:56 and 4:29 LOL a glider and plane

  • @legoliker7517 Yes, our close encounters almost brought an end to our review

  • @nitroplanes LOL, it would be fun to see a crash LOL. Anyway, great vids, Tony and Antonio!

  • Ok, really? What's with the jet-type engine audio. Edit Fail.

  • @michaeleelia That's how it actually sounds, did not re-edit the audio

  • Good demo, why don't you guys use the fs-ct6b radio system should really back your products, at least once?.

  • @209cynical I do use the radio on the EXI helicopters with the scale bodies. But we use our own JR radios because it's more convient for use because we can easily switch between different models on the go.

    -Tony

  • It shall be mine.....oh yeah.

  • @TheGospelGuitarist Keep us update when you get yours :)

    -Tony

  • GR8 stuff love the stall demo thanks again.

  • @lewandlo Thanks man

    -Tony

  • Very nice, going to get me one. Thanks for the reviews.

  • @oncnavy Thanks

    -Tony

  • This bird just went WAY up on my "must have" list!

  • @cofrbooboo the long wait is finally here :)

    -Tony

  • Would 3s work? It's all my charger can take
