However, that's not to say their children don't experience it in school from other children whose parents may not be so 'well-adjusted' - and that's rampant. When the women were used sexually and began producing mixed children, those children were more often than not kept in the house as house slaves. Quite frankly, the color of one's skin does not predetermine their actions, and it is not an indicator of one's character. To suggest that being light is better than being dark OR vice versa, is ridiculous. And for anyone who plays into the hands of European elitist who have engrained this "idea" into the heads of black, white, yellow, red alike, makes you NO better than them (specifically prejudice people). We are first and foremost HUMAN, everything else is secondary.

As far as light skin women thinking black women are hating on them, some of them do. To say a entire color of a certain race is stuck up is crazy. Ive had so many people say that red girls think they the shit. ive meant plenty black women women dark as hell that think they are the shit.. At my highschool there were mostly white but a large amount of blacks an african girl won most prettiest in the yearbook. Beauty comes in all shades and sizes!

I think when we start appreciating our culture as a whole an love each other for who we are we wont have this problem. I think it's sad that we have fallen for the white mans old tricks from the 1700's to keep us in slavery. I am lightskin but never realized how important it was until I moved to the south.
