@MrYmm420 Any strain to make oil yes, but I wanted to know which she used for her Crohn's specifically. Different strain are good for different problems and I have a friend that has Crohn's so that's why I wanted that exact info.

Crohn's is not terminal. Its latin name 'ileitis terminalis' means it usually begins at the end of small intestine.
You can die of a condition which was a result of the disease though, e.g. colon perforation. But this really happens rarely in very complicated cases or if surgical intervention was late.

I used to have one of these vaporizers and noticed the build up and didn't want to waste it, so I would pour boiling water in the glass dome, which would create an amazing tea. It's really excellent, and I think it would be more efficient to do this than to go the spatula route.

First... Crohns isn't a "terminal" illness. It is a chronic illness. You will die "with" Crohns.... your chances of dying "from" Crohns are pretty slim. Crohns will go into remission for extended periods.... How do I know this? My wife has had Crohns for nearly 40 years...

sounds like if somebody had the time, it would be in the best interest to let the solvent evaporate on its own or have it burn off in a rice cooker or crockpot at a low temperature
@nibfu no solvents are used... the vaporizor does all the work.. after the thick red/auburn oil is made.. just scrape it with a good spatuala off of the inside of the glass dome..
@nibfu It would seem so. The heat separates the oil from the fibres and it collects on the roof of dome. This is a good way to extract the oil when using small quantities of bud. Just important not to heat it above 180 C. This gives me good ideas for other herbs, until I've got my hands on some hemp.
@nibfu I've just looked into vaporizing hemp a little more. It seems that the different cannabinoids vaporize at different temperatures, between 126 - 212 C. So probably the solvent extraction is still the best way as compared to heat extraction as I'm not sure what heating the material to 212 C would do to the cannabinoids that vaporize at lower temperatures (like spontaneously combust them).
Does she live in a state where medical marijuana is legal? I live in a state that doesn't accept medical marijuana, so I'd be afraid to risk this. Thank God I'm healthy!

If there is the possibility the Cannabis will cure Cancer & you have these testimonials of people RICK SIMPSON has helped, the science & the historical use of Cannabis being used to treat tumors. When you are spending $9 Billion a year to arrest Americans for Cannabis why would the govt. now spend a few million to do a clinical trial & find out whether or not this stuff really cures Cancer? That's like a no-brainer again. It's proof that we have insane people running the government.

sounds like if somebody had the time, it would be in the best interest to let the solvent evaporate on its own or have it burn off in a rice cooker or crockpot at a low temperature

@nibfu no solvents are used... the vaporizor does all the work.. after the thick red/auburn oil is made.. just scrape it with a good spatuala off of the inside of the glass dome..

@nibfu It would seem so. The heat separates the oil from the fibres and it collects on the roof of dome. This is a good way to extract the oil when using small quantities of bud. Just important not to heat it above 180 C. This gives me good ideas for other herbs, until I've got my hands on some hemp.

@nibfu I've just looked into vaporizing hemp a little more. It seems that the different cannabinoids vaporize at different temperatures, between 126 - 212 C. So probably the solvent extraction is still the best way as compared to heat extraction as I'm not sure what heating the material to 212 C would do to the cannabinoids that vaporize at lower temperatures (like spontaneously combust them).

Does she live in a state where medical marijuana is legal? I live in a state that doesn't accept medical marijuana, so I'd be afraid to risk this. Thank God I'm healthy!
I'd like to know if she did this legally. Did she, or did she just somehow evade the police?

Thanks c3bhm for buying the book, I just got it myself. And Mell, you don't need to suffer! Shona has discovered something wonderful, that being how to make oil very cheaply and easily. There's nothing stopping you from doing this, get your family to help you and you can recover together.

Shona, you have no idea how much this effected me! Especially when you said "raising your kids from the couch". I am suffering badly right now, and no matter what meds, what tests...they find nothing and can't help me. I feel like a little light was shone on me today after watching this. I want to be healthy, run with my kids, be active with my husband....every day I shed a tear at least once because I am tired of living like this!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!

My god, I am moved to tears by how beautiful this is. Shona is like a real-life 'elf' who has been through Hell and came away from it with Medicine for our tribe. A magical medicine at that, as cannabis has a plant-'spirit' that interacts with us on a quantum scale...with our actual heart and soul.
