To open the door at around 5:25, you'll have to jump on a platform located in the long path for rolling rocks at 4:30. Instead of going down, go up and jump on it. There will be two ways: one to get a silence ring, the other one which leads you to behind the blocked door, looting a silence sorcery in a corpse.
I'm guessing someone has already told you but to open that door you said you don't know how to unlock you go to the place where you can change the direction of the boulders and go back down the way to the entrance and jump down to your right when you get past the 2nd roof support. So should land on a woodern platform with a lightning snake thing on it which leads to the other side of the door and a shortcut to the floor of the fortress.
hey man, i figured out how to open that door, the door you walk into to do the switch for the ball, turn it so the balls dont go left anymore, then you down that ball path til you see the treasure hanging there ? walk back up til your in line with it then drop off, there should be one snake head with the 4 swords, kill him and its a free run, you follow the path and it leads to the door, cheers for the guides aswell i would love a shout out for this ;)
you can snipe the lightning-throwing cobra-man with arrows in the beginning of the bridge (the first bridge, the one the other cobra-man got hit by that axe thingy) if u hit him with about 8-10 arrows he will fall to the pit and die >:D

@KHIMAIRA2110@EpicNameBro Just run through the area as fast as you can, there is a giant on top of the castle before the boss, there is a stairway before the fog when you enter the room where the fog is, run up the stairs to find the giant, kill him and he drops a titanite chunk. He will never respawn. Go back and pick up the items that you missed. There is also a merchant across a pathway that is broken to a tower. And a shortcut if you get the key at the bottom of the tower.
At 11:36 you can shoot arrows at those guys safely if you peek around the corner and shoot them in the head.
Also, when you get to the pendulums, look at the little floor of the walkway that they swing on and you'll see cracks in the pathway. A lot easier then.

Dude, do you know if by chance this boulder thing resets randomly or something ? I had set it to shoot them outside, but when I was at a certain spot, the boulder came back across that route. I came back up, and it was back to its original position :D. My main armor is (at the moment) the Elite Knight armor (+3 at the moment). In here, I use Shadow Armor, not sure if it's cheating to switch but who cares ;). I soooo love this place, maybe also since I love Prince of Persia :D.

There are lots of little details that you might not notice when it's on, too. For example, your character will turn his or her head toward the enemy that you lock on to. I dunno, it's really fun to play with the HUD off.

ok, dunno if anyone has commented, but at 5:20, the gate you couldn't open, the way i managed was at 4:30 when you advise chasing the boulder, if you ascend the stairs then look over the side you can see a pillage corpse and a lightning snake guy. if you simply drop down you can kill him, get the soul of a brave knight i think it is, you'll see a stone archway which will take you to that gate.
There is actually a small chance to avoid the boulder when you run up the stairs at 08:40. You just need to sprint all the way up, after the boulder passed the door. It´s a bit risky, but I´ve done it several times.

That jail cell is not hard to get to. All you have to do is go up the stairs instead of down at the area shown at the 5 minute mark. As you run up the stairs at the left you will see a broken wooden fence that is between to stone pillars. Just run between the fence and you'll fall on that ledge and that'll lead you to the locked cell.
in order to unlock that jail door you have to jump down onto the platform that the snake mage is on before the boulder lever room, then go through a hall way to the jail cell.
@EpicNameBro I feel that when you use the word "some" to describe the amount of firebombs your holding, its' a bit of an understatement. You basically have a freaking armory's worth of them in your pockets, which I think is hilarious.
@videogamer505 Just ring the two bells that you're told to ring at the beginning of the game. The first is in the Undead Burg/Parish, the second is in Blighttown. If you need more information than that, I can try and tell you how to get to those places, I suppose.
to open that door that is closed when u reach the boulder control room you go to the right and then drop down to kill one of them mage guys there also a body with a soul on it then u go through the passage way to loot another body that has a really handy spell that makes u take alot less fall damage and a set of armour hope this helps

@nash7744 you need to upgrade to +5 normally first, and then you can do a modify... it's a multistage process... upgrade, mod, upgrade, mod. I hope this helps!
In this place lie enemies with an inappropriate artificial intelligence for this game I think. However, I love the game but Demon's Souls is much more difficult than Dark Souls.
@cwilli343 Defeat Quelag, climb the stairs behind her (opposite of the entrance to the fight) and you'll find a room with a hole in the middle of the floor. The lever should be around there, close to the windows.

At ~ 04:27 (where the first boulder appears), run to the right (after you changed the path of the ball, or else you get crushed :P) and look down the way you run down the staircase. You see a wooden piece that you can land on with a lightning throwing lizard. If you land on there, you can find a soul (IIRC) and two ways. One leads to the ring that makes your footsteps silent
@warmansad if you go to the bottom of blighttown and cross the swamp to where all the roots are coming out of the sand, then you'll find quelaags domain. after you kill quelaag you can proceed down the stairs towards demons something or other(the place with lava). at the bottom of the stairs is a switch that activates the second bell
@EpicNameBro Oh, i don't know if you know now or not, but the cobra lighningh priests that you encounter in sens Fortress actually have an execution/parry attack that kills you, ot near enough instantly.
I never actually saw them parry when they did it to me so, maybe its just an unlucky thing that i've encountered such a rare attack so often.

@TherealChoGath pull them into the trees one by one using the bow... once you pull it back to the trees, you can get a couple free hits, and then repeat
While i made it via the "cat-route" to sif once, i have to say that it's much more comfortable to buy the 20k key at andre's, just in case Sif kills you.
I didn*t know better but I said "no" to the cat NPC because i wanted to stay in chaos cov and i ddin't want to switch to forest covenant. She raged quite a bit :).
I made the fight in the end but it was pretty hard.

At the 8:40 second mark in your video, turn and look off the top of the stairs to drop down on the ledge that the lightening cobra is perched on.. After killing the cobra, proceed to walk into the doorway under the stair case and you will be led to a room with a corpse that holds the Black Sorcerer's Cloak set, at the other side of that gate you were confused about.
the room at 5:18 is opened by dropping down to where you had to chase the boulder (before covetous ring) when you chase down notice there is a snake tossing lighting ... that is where you want to drop to, eventually leads to that locked door

the enemy at 11:10 can also fall off with the firebomb or soul spear just get out of sight after hitting him and he will walk off the edge and u earn 500 souls without having to use your items much

-Hush- Magic spell then you can go up and open that gate. also if you go to the right from the wooden platform you can also jump down to get the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring -

When you get to the door way with the first bolder u can make a mad dash up the ramp, just before you get to the top u can hop of to the side onto a wooden walkway. Their is a cobre head on the walk way and an item. I killed it pretty quick with my Raw Great Scythe +3. Go to the right then make another right and u are on the opposite side of the gate and u get a black set of sorcerer outfit.

hey man, I'm not sure if you figured it out but at 7:45 if you go upstairs and look over the left side theres a wooden platform with a lightning serpent and the room where you unlock the cell and fight Grigg's in the late end game if you bought all of his stuff, and Logan's stuff, then told Grigg's that Logan is in Duke's Archive, he'll appear in there as a hollow.

Another thing that can help with the lightning throwers is to shoot them in the head with arrows. It staggers them and they cannot attack :)

Hi.
At 4:40 if you turn 180º there is a pit with a ladder. If you go down you can see a column of giant boulders...Is there any use for this?
At 5:20 there's a closed door, you ask for someone to tell you how to open... Does anybody know how to open it?

Great video man, it helped tons. Off topic, any chance can you tell me how to modify weapons? Ive found several embers and gave them to blacksmith but when ever I click modify I'm told there's no weapons to assend or whatever.

@nash7744 you need to upgrade to +5 normally first, and then you can do a modify... it's a multistage process... upgrade, mod, upgrade, mod. I hope this helps!

@cwilli343 Defeat Quelag, climb the stairs behind her (opposite of the entrance to the fight) and you'll find a room with a hole in the middle of the floor. The lever should be around there, close to the windows.

@EpicNameBro and one leads to the closed door. Before the closed door, there lays the whole equipment of some class and a spell, that makes your footsteps silent. Sorry if this has been mentioned before (like a milion times) and sorry for my bad english. Greetings from germany.

@EpicNameBro I'm sure that someone already posted this, but I'd better be sure :P You open the door from the other side. At ~ 04:27 (where the first boulder appears), run to the right (after you changed the path of the ball, or else you get crushed :P) and look down the way you run down the staircase. You see a wooden piece that you can land on with a lightning throwing lizard. If you land on there, you can find a soul (IIRC) and two ways. One leads to the ring that makes your footsteps silent

@warmansad if you go to the bottom of blighttown and cross the swamp to where all the roots are coming out of the sand, then you'll find quelaags domain. after you kill quelaag you can proceed down the stairs towards demons something or other(the place with lava). at the bottom of the stairs is a switch that activates the second bell

@EpicNameBro Oh, i don't know if you know now or not, but the cobra lighningh priests that you encounter in sens Fortress actually have an execution/parry attack that kills you, ot near enough instantly.
I never actually saw them parry when they did it to me so, maybe its just an unlucky thing that i've encountered such a rare attack so often.

While i made it via the "cat-route" to sif once, i have to say that it's much more comfortable to buy the 20k key at andre's, just in case Sif kills you.
I didn*t know better but I said "no" to the cat NPC because i wanted to stay in chaos cov and i ddin't want to switch to forest covenant. She raged quite a bit :).
I made the fight in the end but it was pretty hard.
I have to say: best Boss fight so far, music theme rocks!

At the 8:40 second mark in your video, turn and look off the top of the stairs to drop down on the ledge that the lightening cobra is perched on.. After killing the cobra, proceed to walk into the doorway under the stair case and you will be led to a room with a corpse that holds the Black Sorcerer's Cloak set, at the other side of that gate you were confused about.

the room at 5:18 is opened by dropping down to where you had to chase the boulder (before covetous ring) when you chase down notice there is a snake tossing lighting ... that is where you want to drop to, eventually leads to that locked door

the enemy at 11:10 can also fall off with the firebomb or soul spear just get out of sight after hitting him and he will walk off the edge and u earn 500 souls without having to use your items much

@EpicNameBro in case you havent found the way to open the gate at 5:17 if you go up instead of down at 7:51 you can jump down to the left and land on a wooden platform theres a treasure there and a lightning caster. after you killed him go right and you should find a corpse containing the black sorcerer set and the
-Hush- Magic spell then you can go up and open that gate. also if you go to the right from the wooden platform you can also jump down to get the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring -

When you get to the door way with the first bolder u can make a mad dash up the ramp, just before you get to the top u can hop of to the side onto a wooden walkway. Their is a cobre head on the walk way and an item. I killed it pretty quick with my Raw Great Scythe +3. Go to the right then make another right and u are on the opposite side of the gate and u get a black set of sorcerer outfit.

hey man, I'm not sure if you figured it out but at 7:45 if you go upstairs and look over the left side theres a wooden platform with a lightning serpent and the room where you unlock the cell and fight Grigg's in the late end game if you bought all of his stuff, and Logan's stuff, then told Grigg's that Logan is in Duke's Archive, he'll appear in there as a hollow.

Dude, you should definitely get the Gravelord Sword. With some Demon Titanite upgrades, that 'ish is awesome! Although it's quite a pain to get it :/
