This is an absolut disgrace for skating and boarding. It should be only for ill people who has trouble getting outside etc. I do agree with some of the people here who said that it could use for practicing balance, but in my opinion, it's really a shame for using this as a sport like pro. @blopiful Lol, it isnt something somebody would do all the time as their main hobby. It is a bit weird, i know, but its only really to improve balance skills for people who like to surf and snowboard a lot. Similar to how somebody would use a longboard as a snow/surf alternative, some use indo boards to get some practice in with balance and tricks when they cant go surfing or snowboarding.

@blopiful No one buys it just to become an "indo boarder" just to practice balance and when you can't get outside. But if you can use it to practice tricks why not post them for others to learn? I just bought one for my little brother for Xmas. He's a skater and he lives in the part of upstate NY where you can literally see Canada all night. Skate park is under tons of snow for months.

i know i would prefer another skateboard to one of these, but i have to admit if i had one i would probably use it a fair bit, probably only at night though. are they expensive? or should i just get a deck and some kinda pipe thing and make my own?

it has nothing to do with skateboarding or longboarding. it is used to strengthen your core and provides as a surfing trainer. it improves your center of balace

I'm guessing you're not a surfer... this thing only costs $100, which is less then all but the crappiest craigslist boards. It's good when the waves are down and trains specifically for balance. When you're actually out surfing you have a lot more to think about than just balancing on the board.
