MW3: .44 Magnums Akimbo OP? (Modern Warfare 3, Dual Magnums)

I got my 2500 kills before my 4th prestige with the magnum w/tac knife i would have loved an acog attachment

they decreased the rate of fire on the fmg's by 50%, they lowered the damge so it takes 5 bullets close range and 8 long range

and they increased the hipfire spread around as much as an assault rifle

fmgs need steady aim to be op-ish

best thing to do now is to decrease the rate of fire and decrease the damage by a bit

type 95 need waaaay less damage and more recoil

44 magnun isnt op at all they jump like jumping jacks :P

IMO all the akimbo weapons are overpowered when compared to their non-akimbo counterparts. Basically, the akimbo attachment doesn't force you to choose between firepower and accuracy like Black Ops did, instead, akimbo in MW3 just allows you to have 2 weapons instead of 1. IW needs to seriously increase the hipfire spread of all akimbo weapons to around Black Ops level inaccuracy.

theres no way that these are over powered, they hold six bullets each and you use nearly a whole magazine every kill so there is a low chance of getting double kills, try and use them on a map like resistance and you will most likely go negative and also they are specified for close range and you are using them on dome, the smallest map in the game, you should do commentaries that arent related to problems in mw3 because i think your audience of viewers is getting sick of them

These are very similar to the dual pythons in black ops, the main difference being that these do 49 damage with a 1.1 torso multiplier and the pythons did an even 50 guaranteeing a 2 shot kill. Nobody thought the pythons were op when the were in fact more powerful and were in a game with a slightly higher average ttk. To think that these nerfed pythons in this low ttk game are op is a bit absurd.

@Deathwish42 The thing that balanced the pythons (if only slightly) was that they had a longer raise/drop time than any of the other pistols, making it basically equivalent to the raise/drop time of a machine pistol in MW2/3. If it wasn't for that, they would have basically been backup lasers that you could whip out willy-nilly. I still think that they shouldn't have benefited from having speed loader reload speed while dual wielded, though.

I would say no, simply because of their ammo capacity. If they had the cap of say...machine pistols then yes they would be over powered. The fact is that it is difficult to get more than two kills with them without reloading, and when you compare that to other secondaries the answer is clear IMO.
